Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

Agree with adneo. Jeep has faced a lot of flak for quality and reliability in the US. The reason Compass seems to be better off on those parameters may be because it is based on Fiat 500x with Fiat power trains. Otherwise most of the American Jeeps are not that great on the quality front.

Yes. The Compass is better off than other Jeep models because it is based on a Fiat 500x and comes with Fiat's MultiAir and Multijet engines.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

Since Mr. Partha Dutta confirmed that the facelift will have connected features I thought I would include the feature matrix for JeepSmart package as per the Chinese website. Do note some of the feature names seem to have been lost in translation but gives a good idea of what we can expect in the India version.

For your reference the naming there is different but 220T Deluxe Edition is basically the top end petrol variant & 220T 4WD High performance Flagship is the top end diesel variant.

I may be entirely wrong on this, but maybe this color will not be available in India.

Scoop: Jeep Compass Trailhawk with 360 degree camera spotted

A Jeep Compass Trailhawk with new features has been spotted in Pune. It could be a facelifted version of the SUV which could be launched in the near future.

The SUV was equipped with what appears to be a 360 degree camera system. There was a camera under the ORVM and also in the centre of the 7-slat radiator grille. The SUV was also equipped with a shark fin antenna, new design headlights and translucent tail lamps. The headlights are unlike the ones seen on the upcoming Compass facelift.

The Compass Trailhawk facelift is likely to be powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

Thanks to Sarthak Shewale for sending these images in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing them with other enthusiasts via the Team-BHP Share page!

Mahindra may be a glorified tractor maker, but they are going in the right direction.

Agree! Jeep is no Honda in terms of reliability. But my point is that there is a brand value associated with companies Mahindra, TATA at this point of time, which just not really ‘world class’ and is still far away from a relatively average( of global) quality manufacturer like Jeep. In future would TATA products would be competitive and acceptable in Europe? Maybe yes. But it is not the scenario right now.
I know someone who brought TATA Hexa, and simple removed TATA logo. According to him it increased his car’s perceived value. Hexa without TATA logo looks a high end car. No one would do that with Jeep, VW, Honda etc.
But of course situation of Indian/Chinese OEM would be better in future.

It's Milind Soman now. This time the image of Compass in the background is very clear.

This colour looks gorgeous. I used to think nothing beats the Compass in Red dual tone shade but this colour is surely a looker and might look even better in person.

An eclectic lot, the celebrities selected so far. I'm personally not a fan of associating a car with a celebrity, especially movie star but hey, whatever works to generate a buzz

Dealers are sending invites to prospective customers. I got an invite from Landmark Jeep, Mathura Road, for the virtual press conference starting at 11 am tomorrow.

Here's link to the same:

Yeah it was a disappointing 'REVEAL'. It didn't have any new information for anyone who has been following this thread except for a few good shots of the vehicle in the brand new color.
Was hoping a price reveal as well. The fact that they are pushing the pricing reveal could be due to a significant price bump compared to the existing models! I am hoping that is not the case though!

A dealer in Mumbai told me that the display piece will be available in the Mumbai showroom from Sunday(10th January) but test drives will open up only from 24th January.

Re: Jeep Compass facelift launch in early 2021

My takeaway from the premier:

*A big step-up in the interiors
*Aqua green looks awesome
*In an earlier interview, MD has shared that they will have an automatic option for Sports variant as well

If they keep price revision in check, it will be a pick for personally
