BMW has launched the M8 Coupe priced at Rs. 2.15 crore (ex-showroom).

The BMW M8 is the high performance version of the 8 Series coupe. The car features a twin kidney grille and BMW Laserlight. It has larger air intakes at the front that aid with cooling. At the rear, the car gets a lip spoiler, M diffuser and double-flow exhaust system with twin tail pipes. It also gets a carbon fibre roof.



On the inside, the M8 Coupe comes with a driver-focused cockpit with M lettering on the door sills. It has M Sport seats wrapped in two-tone upholstery and M8 logo in the headrests. The car comes with ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Apple CarPlay connectivity.

It has a Harman Kardon sound system. A Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system is available as an option. M seat belts, M Carbon engine cover, M Sport exhaust system, M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Driver's Package among others also part of the options package.

The M8 is powered by a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 592 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 750 Nm @ 1,800-5,600 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels via the M xDrive all-wheel drive system and M Sport Differential. The car also comes with adaptive M suspension.

The BMW M8 coupe is available in six colour options - Brands Hatch Grey, Sonic Speed Blue, Marina Bay Blue, Donington Grey, Barcelona Blue and Motegi Red. It is also available with BMW Individual Paintwork options.

A nice marketing car came to Gurgaon showroom for display. Loaded with almost all options, including Ceramic brakes & a very nice paint. Both costs around 15 lac each, Add on that lovely bowers audio and the leather upgrade and you are looking at a car over 2,80 Cr ex-showroom.

I wonder why BMW didnt launch the competition pack version instead? They did the samething with the M5 by getting the regular version then launched the CP
