Maruti Suzuki has sold 1,06,443 vehicles with factory-fitted CNG kits across India.



Maruti started offering factory-fitted CNG option in its cars from 2010. In FY2019-20, the carmaker claims to have sold the highest number of CNG-powered cars till date. CNG sales in the past 5 years have increased by 15.5% CAGR.

At present, models like the Alto, WagonR, Eeco, Tour S, Ertiga and Super Carry are available with a CNG option. These cars are equipped with a Dual Interdependent ECU and an injection system tuned for performance and fuel efficiency.

Hilariously, just to make the image look wholesome & symmetric, they have added the Super-Carry mini-truck under the heading of "Factory Fitted S-CNG Cars". Seems they thought that it can mix up like just another van with that pseudo load in the bay.

And I'm glad they are giving a "fuel level indicator". God save otherwise. They have specifically mentioned it in the list!
On a serious note - Maruti's factory fit CNG are really a good blend for urban usage if one has a filling station near home / office. And of course these are fantastic vehicles for city-taxi duties. No doubt about that.
