Visit to Tata Motors Plant

Awesome trip mate... It is always my dream to visit a plant... Can we arrange a trip to Toyota plant near bangalore? Any takers...

I think we should plan our National Meets around a plant visit. Perhaps we could have this year's 'National Meet' in Pune/Mahabaleshwar with a visit to either Tata or Fiat?

I wouldnt mind driving upto Pune once again!

count me in for that one as well. Actually, i would love a visit to teh Volvo plant at Hoskote as well....it is just aboiut 50 K out of bangalore on the old Madras road. Can anyone arrange that ?

Reason enough for me to be interested... Was always a fan of the volvos.

Ya, forgot about it....it would be an awesome experience...any help from anybody...
Passed Volvo plant many times while driving in NH4 but the anxiety remains...Hopefully someday this wish will be fulfilled....

I forgot to mention, I did see a few of the Tata vans based on the earlier Espace (i think it was code named the eclipse)...they seemed pretty promising, to take on the tempo traveller and the like...yes, it is a notch smaller...
Also did spot a Left hand drive Renault Logan tucked away in a corner... competition for the Indigo after all...

There was a TATA van called the Calypso but i'm not sure if it was Espace based on built on the Tatamobile frame.

Were you able to go into their famed ERC?

While we did enter the ERC building, we could only enter the conference room and nothing else...

I didnt even know it till i came home, that same room was my dads office 15 years ago!
