Cars that can fly under the radar

Hello members,
In your opinion, what is a "fly under the radar" car? And what cars qualify for this criteria among the cars on sale in India today?

From what i have gathered by reading the various topics on the forum, a recent example is the now gone VW Tiguan: a 5 seat luxury vehicle that is equal in quality to an equivalent BMW; or something like the Skoda Kodiaq which is a vehicle from a few notches above what it is priced at.

So basically something that is very well made, nicely appointed interiors, well specced engine + GB but does not carry a badge that will bring unwanted attention. Also a colour like nuclear waste green or baby diarrhea yellow is not advisable methinks. Lets say my budget for this "hypothetical" car/suv is 5 million INR but i am open to buying a used example for less than half that.

Your thoughts? Opinions? 2 cents? Rants? Please let us all know.

OT: yes, i would rather have a Land Cruiser than a Land Rover and not because of the reliability issues alone!

Anything from Volvo would be pretty understated.

Edit: the S90 is a terrific car if you can afford the extra million, else wait for the s60.

I think this (Cars that punch above their weight in India!) thread covers the same topic
