After the MG Gloster with 218 PS of power I think Toyota should really launch the facelifted Fortuner with the updated 2.8 litre engine with more than 200 ps of power to up its game in the segment.

Toyota has launched the GCC Spec 2021 Fortuner in Qatar yesterday. The updated model is available in 2.7L 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine along with a 4.0L V6 Engine and the Diesel comes in 2.4L Turbocharged Engine.

Launch price for 2.7L is QAR. 120,000 (INR. 24la) and 4.0L V6 top variant cost QAR. 135,000 (INR. 27la).

Why have they not changed the rear taillights? Also Vietnam is the 2nd market after Thailand to get the Legender version but with 18 inch rims instead of 20s on the Thailand spec car and in single tone only

Also the TRD version of the facelift has been leaked with the brochure(I guess it’s Indonesia)

Makes all the sense in the world! If that was not the case, why would they be conducting emission testing runs, since the current engine it its BS6 avatar is already on sale.

Toyota should not make the same mistake as Ford - I already know of a few folks who dropped their plans to buy the 2020 Endeavour just because of the "new" engine! Ford - please understand that size does matter in this segment

Yes, that button is for rear differential lock. This feature is available in most of the markets across the globe except India.

Please do not expect this as an offering in indian version as people at Toyota think that although Indian consumer need a 4x4 fortuner, but we do not need a rear locker. Also, There will be other omissions as well based on Indian customer's need which logically are not going to make any sense. I just hope the omissions are just limited to features, not for safety as Toyota never mentioned the NCAP ratings of Indian Fortuner. Sorry for going off topic!

This is ridiculous to say the least! Why would a standard 4x4 feature be omitted in the Indian version, more so in an already overpriced SUV?! Very disappointing and not expected from a manufacturer of global repute. Hopefully they rectify this with the facelift launch.

Looks pretty cool! Unlike the Crysta facelift

Especially the rather tastefully applied red highlights, at least on the front grille. Alloys are interesting as well.

Looks good and decently spec'd too with the additional features like wireless charging, 360 view camera etc. Big miss is the panoramic sunroof for an SUV at this price point.

This looks great. Especially in black.

However, just a little nip and tuck won't do much against the upcoming competition. Toyota should get the 500 NM motor and the Legender variant and price it atleast at the current gen fortuner's prices, to continue to dominate the segment.

All this needs is a panoramic sunroof and some boost in power.
It would wipe out the competition at least for the near future by doing so.

I wish Toyota was also active about its stance in India.
They have voluntarily come down in terms of their quality of service over the years.
