Would definitely recommend the 4x4 - for a premium which will be a small fraction of the price, you get capability that may come in useful as your hobbies and interests may change over the ownership period of 5-7 years, for example going to offbeat places or joining a 4X4 club near you etc. Even if the 4x4 is priced 2 lakhs higher, it is just 5% incremental cost in this price segment.

Also I firmly believe Toyota is following the same strategy as Kia and Hyundai in not launching the top trim of the Legendary 4X4 to avoid sticker and headline shock on pricing. There is no other explanation for not offering the Legender 4X4. If the regular 4X4 AT comes in 2 lakhs higher than the current model, say 36.5 ex-showroom and the Legender 4X4 AT comes in at 38, the latter would breach the 45 lakh on-road price point in parts of the country and Toyota may want to avoid that for a month or two till the market is able to come to terms with the new pricing band for the Fortuner.

Looks like toyota have listened to the customer feedback regarding the speakers with jbl speakers and subwoofer.
The previous fortuner lacked the the speaker clarity and extra bass for my liking.
the addition of ventilated seats also is added bonus.
The only thing which is lacking from the competition is the sunroof.

Fortuner 4x4 A/T priced at INR 37.43 lac ex-Delhi That's an increase of 3 lac ex-showroom, translating to almost 4 lac on-road, taking it to ~48 lac on-road in Bangalore!!! This is crazy. The Endeavour suddenly seems more VFM than ever, engine specs notwithstanding!

To me the Legender rather feels to be a disappointment; apart from the looks and wireless charger + kick activated boot, there is nothing on offer.

While (most likely) the wireless charger will be available as an additional accessory, the other features do not count as a must have.

Seat ventilation is definitely another welcome feature, but price hike of 3 LACS???!!!

To be fair to Toyota, they raised prices in Australia when they launched this version by around 3k or around 1.6 lakhs in Indian money.

Yikes! There go any hopes of buying a new or used 4x4 Fortuner in the near future. With these prices, a used 2021 4x4 couple of years down the road will command ~ 35L . The Legender even more!!

But, these will fly of the shelves since the target customer isn't worried about money.
