The RSQ8 is the next big launch for Audi in India, 600bhp and 0-100 in 3.8 seconds. It holds the record for the fastest lap around the Nurburgring, with a time of 7 minutes and 42.2 seconds.

IMO, all the RS cars are niches, Audi should also focus on bringing the A3, A4, A5, Q3, Q5, Q7 quickly which are their main models that sell!

Audi has officially released a teaser for the launch of RS Q8 in India. It can do 0-100 in 3.8 second which is sports car territory but the expected prices is upwards of 2 crores

Like the way Audi is thinking now. First the RS7 and now this. They have no appealing models in the budget range so it makes sense to completely change your target audience and bring in cars with little to no competition while providing the wide reach of the Audi brand in India. No assembly required with the CBUs so really straightforward for them if they price it right. I do hope they don't simply become car importers.

Audi RS Q8 bookings open

Audi has started accepting bookings for the RS Q8 high performance SUV. The booking amount is set at Rs. 15 lakh.



The RS Q8 features a sporty bodykit and rides on 22-inch wheels. On the inside, it gets Alcantara upholstery with RS flat-bottom steering wheel, dual touchscreens and a digital instrument cluster.



But, it's the engine that makes the RS Q8 special. It is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a mild-hybrid system that develops 591 BHP and 800 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.



The RS Q8 holds the lap record for production SUVs on the Nurburgring. The SUV is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. With the optional dynamic package, this can be raised to 304 km/h.

I saw one of these parked at the detailed studio I went to last weekend. Boy is it a looker and a half! The wheels on this were ginormous everything on the inside looks stunning. I can only imagine how this drives.
