I should think not..that information has come to me from "the horses mouth" so to speak. I hope they do it fast though. AFAIK this is a good 6-8 months away.

Whats wrong with that?!!! One WILL require air con with the hood up. AC is pretty standard in convertibles the world over.

The build quality being pretty bad, a few things ought to be tweaked. Using better plastics & using an engine like the Baleno/OHC would catapult the sales of this convertible. Would make sense in all aspects- style, performance etc.

That is indeed a good Idea. Now that the Baleno is dead, someone can benefit from its phased out but great G16B engine.

Would be really nice to a variety of vehicles on the roads in India. We have SUVs/MUVs/sedans/station wagons.. with pick-up trucks hitting the market,it'll be more or less complete with the San Storm making a strong entry..
Improve the existing vehicle..and it'll take the India auto market by 'storm'..

But I will prefer the San "streak" to the "storm", given Indian weather, its a perfect compromise of Fun vs Functionality.

Isn't there any auto company that would be able to take over the establishment, and do the needful in order to get a revamped San Storm on the roads? Obviosuly there's a lot of R&D work that's needed to bring about the changes, but I wish there's a start to it. Pretty sure if the car is brought out with a chunk of goodies,it'll sell like hot cakes. People have the money to spend, and whats better than getting a relatively affordable sports car/convertible.

When will the big guns come out with their convertibles?
I think its high time, we get an good, affordable convertible in India.
IMO only Tata (and/or Marutis may be) can do that, the affordable part, that is
