Okay, so the commercial versions of the D-Max launched in India yesterday, with great pricing, and lots to love about the vehicles in the segment. But more than that, what piqued my curiosity is the website of Isuzu India! Can't wait for this to be revealed!! I just wish that (as per the posts above) they really bring in the Thailand / Australian version mutatis mutandis to India, because that will be pure love!!

I am looking for a commercial cum personal vehicle . Do I have to take a separate license to drive?

Isuzu D-MAX spotted testing in Chennai, is it the 2021 model?

Not the 2021 facelift. It is the current gen maybe in BS6 guise which is slated to launch next month.

Was speaking to the manager at KUN ISUZU Chennai on a potential dmax. On the plus side, the car should be in display in the next 10 days. Apparently the 2L unit on the new vcross is a COMPLETELY new one, curious to see if its true.

The BIG minus though was that he said manual will be @ OTR 30L in chennai and automatic will be 34L. I told him that i was surprised that a vehicle that sold at around 12L not so long ago is moving up like this. He empathised and also told me that they will also have a difficult time selling it. Hoping that this one is definitely inflated and untrue. :coldsweat

Being the optimist I am taking his input with a pinch of salt. But if its actually sold at this price, then I shall pass. Nervous times chaps!

Either he was pulling a very fast one on you, or company strategy to set expectations with a 20% hike over prev model - Or, they want a DoA.

I guess the 17-21L i shared for the Kushaq also feels high. Though the person who gave me that info is someone I trust personally - but still am not taking that figure as written in stone.

The person is known but he also confessed this is the info he is getting from Isuzu. Agree that anything more than 20L will make it a DoA

Earlier this year, we had reported that Isuzu had postponed the launch of its BS6 vehicles to Q2 of 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, a few dealers have reported that the new cars can be expected in the next month.

For the time being, dealers are selling BS4 vehicles which they had registered in their names before the deadline. Discounts of Rs. 1 lakh - 1.5 lakh on BS4 prices are offered on these vehicles along with a free 3 year / 1 lakh km maintenance package. The buyers will be second owners on paper in such cases.

The government of India had mandated March 31, 2020 as the deadline for the registration of BS4 vehicles. Only BS6-compliant vehicles have been on sale from April 1, 2020, barring the exception where the Supreme Court had allowed limited sale of unsold BS4 stock.

Launching the next gen V cross with the 3.0L engine as sold internationally would be great!

So it looks like the same 1.9 diesel with a BS6 upgrade, whatever that means! I am sure that is good enough for them to up the price by a lakh :Frustrati

Is there any possibility for the current international Dmax to be launched here? Maybe in 2022 or 2023? It's such a good-looking Ute and the interior is also very nice. I will happily buy one even if it gets launched at a higher price.

I can't understand why they are not bringing new products here. The country is obsessed with SUVs, a jeep is the Car of the year award winner and there is a 4-6 month waiting period for every single Suv/compact SUV. All the vehicles are getting sold at zero discount as well. Still Isuzu is selling outdated models.

This new version is an absolute looker and will look even better with some tastefully modifications. Here is a crisp review of the Philippines version.
