at that price it is a better buy than those bloated maruti and hyundai "supermodel" cars ahh but a fiat is never a better buy for the indians.

forget that atleast i can get spares for my 1.6 for a few more years to come until the Punto comes and changes all for the better.

I feel someone strangled the webpage designer to release the site today ... poor guy doesnt seem to have finished his job
asdasd in some places...news and evends go here ...in the home page....

I think even the website is designed by FIAT HATE CLUB member
... Atleast the site is better than the older one....in terms of appeal....

On the other hand chevy has a spark website ready with a cool teaser... !!

Well, finally a website that is in line with Fiat.com - Starting Page.
Of course, the indian website is still under construction. But, look at the apparent spelling mistakes.More importantly, they've already made their first blunder.Check this out -
Fiat India : Showroom - Palio Stile#
and click on the FIRE engine under Smart Solutions.

The 1.1 L belongs to the FIRE engine family. The 1.6 to the 'torque' family. But these guys have conveniently stated that the 1.6 is a FIRE engine. And its even on their brochure.Oh dear Fiat India Ltd.

Rtech, stop running buddy. You might just be right. The brochure says " The spirit of the original, The spunk of today " which could translate to "Engine of the padmini, body of the facelifted Palio"!!

I am happy to see that finally they have changed the website and improved it. but I wanted the prices to start from 3 lakh onwards who would pay 4 lakh for a 57 BHP car when other 60-70 BHP cars are also available in the same price range...( I know that its the torque that matters but everyone does not know that)...any views on this...what should be the NEW marketing and promotion strategy of FIAT...

Amtak : I agree. They should have priced it 3L onwards. But the base (SL) is not actually a base. Base model has PS and AC.

Amtak, I guess Fiat India will be focussing on the improved mileage of 14 - 15 kmpl on the new Palio Stile!
And we know that would satisfy most of the 'Kitna Mileage hai?' junta in our country. They'll also need to convince everyone that all Service woes will be taken care by Tata Motors.
Best Wishes to them on their 2nd Innings and Hope this will mark a turnaround of their fortunes in Indian market!

One notable addition: All models of new Palio Stile (including base model) will have Tubeless tyres! Cheers Fiat!

Website says tubeless tyres standard on all models.. Thats a bit of surprise. Also, Noted that the turning radius hasnt reduced.. so future owner.. join the list of embarrassed owners (me included) who look like idiots while taking a U Turn

Yes.

Palio 1.1 - Power 57 ps @ 5250, Torque 92nm @ 2750

Indica Xeta 1.2 - Power 65.3 @ 5000, Torque 100 nm @ 2600

Getz 1.1 - Power 66.6 @ 5500, Torque 102 nm @ 3200

Chevy Aveo 1.2 - Power 76 @ 5500, Torque 110 @ 4400

Its got the least power and the least torque in the bunch. Thats without bringing the 1.3 Swift into the equation.
