Though Palio Stile has the least power with it.. Could it be most fuel efficient among these?? They have claimed 15.5 KMPL in ideal conditions, but even if it gives 13.5 - 14 KMPL, I guess that would be all right...

big big mistake not launching the diesel. these days to create a splash at launch, a model has to have a common rail diesel variant.

still, good move retaining the 1.6 for the fans.

i'm quite okay with the looks. they haven't messed it up like MUL "new looks".

most importantly, i'm glad they launched the car. any car, in any form from their new plant. first step towards bouncing back.

hey....where are those guys who were betting in days and weeks as to when FIAT would be extinct, say around 1.5 to 2 yrs back ????

Prices of Palio are quite competitive with base model starting around 3.5. Competition here Maruti, Hyundai, Fiat , Chevy

Its got the least power and the least torque in the bunch. Thats without bringing the 1.3 Swift into the equation.
On paper that is... I have driven the car not extensively but enough to gauge that there's absolutely no problems while driving in the city with AC on.

I think Fiat has done a good job with the pricing of the car.

Base version for around 3.5 with a/c and PS is good enough until you wanna go for Sporty 1.6. And this competes directly with Santro, marutis etc and i must say a person who has a sense for good car aesthetics cannot drop palio if buying a car in this segment.

Offcourse everybody has there preferences and choice but the pricing of this Palio Stile is attractive and as a package seems interesting too.

Cheers !!

namit

even when i had my earlier palio, i found it to be complete in most respects. be it the power windows, or defogger, or a/c or remote boot release and fuel cap release, anything you ask for. even specially the lock on reverse gear which one had to release to engage it! nifty safety that is. the palio even has a mechanical central lock (there is no need to install autocop, since the driver side lock locks all other doors as well - mechanically!) its wonderful to experience. not to forget the child lock on rear doors too! master craft!

i dont find most cars offering remote boot release including the (hold your breath) logan!!! so much for a car that is ultimate in luxury!

I know this forum is full of Palio lovers...but just had a doubt.. wanted to clear it guys..

As far as runnning is concerned...i am sure..i can easily run as far as i can from the 1.1 Palio...and i bet it can never chase my swift

1.6 is in a different league..sorry if i hurt anybodys feelings..i never compared this with padmini.

But seriously speaking...when even tata can come up with a car with much tech specs... why not FIAT ? the car has no tech spec worth talking abt..

Thats why i was curious..as you guys know much more than me.

Looks like Fiat has done a good pricing and they will now offer Cash discounts on these offers to impress Indian junta, I am sure pricing of these models have done thinking discounts in mind.. at least I hope so.

Fiat always releases cars that are released globally. They dont keep "introducing" features extra every now and then! think about the palio, 500, bravo, punto, and now linea. all these cars are there worldwide too. tata is not like that. they are primarily a home market company. and may i know what much tech specs are you specifying here?

If i understand it properly, if you insert any key other than the one originally given, it will not start forever until you put the original key again. engine will be immobilised.
