Making cost of Kushaq might be enough to launch it at around 9 but when you compare with tin cans which are being sold at anywhere from 10-20 lakhs, that too like hot cakes, how do you justify cost of a German car (Skoda) to be below a tin can? I would personally get doubtful of its safety! Someone mentioned that they are aiming for 5 star gncap. Keeping all things at similar level, I feel it’s impossible to price a Skoda of same category cheaper than tin cans. But who knows, they might surprise us like they did with Rapid base version!

This is exactly what I'm thinking. Verna petrol base model is priced at ~9 lacs and Creta petrol base model is at 9.8 lacs.

Rapid rider was priced at 7.5 lacs. Skoda has breathing gap of 2.5 lacs for base model Kushaq(which is smaller than Creta), to price below 10 lacs. And 10 lacs is decent price tag for made in India car, may be base model. If we trust rapid's build quality, we can expect something similar for Kushaq.

The base variant of kushaq is going to compete with the EX variant of Creta and HTK variant of Seltos feature wise, it's not going to compete with the base variants of the above mentioned cars. So price wise it's going to match these variants and not the base variants.

People who are saying kushaq is smaller then the Koreans, that's not true, size wise it's approximately same as creta and Seltos as it's purposely built considering the Koreans in mind, maybe in pictures it looks smaller.

People who are expecting the Kushaq to undercut the Koreans, that's not happening, it costs a lot of money to build a safe car with all the safety features from the base variants. If you want more details start reading this thread from page 3, i have mentioned a lot of details.

On 21st of this month we would be getting a review from the journalists who attended the cover drive of the Kushaq.

Skoda Kushaq teased on website

Earlier this month, Skoda christened their upcoming SUV based on the Vision IN concept as the Kushaq. The SUV has now been teased on the brand's Indian website.



The Kushaq is the first vehicle designed and developed under the purview of the 'India 2.0' project. It will be based on the locally developed MQB A0 IN platform. The SUV could be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 148 BHP and 250 Nm. This engine could be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Lower variants could get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

According to the teased image, the Kushaq could be unveiled in the summer of 2021.

You can compare the Brezza and Kushaq right next to each other. I guess they are very similar in size. I really want Kushaq to be a compelling proposition, if the pricing is similar to Creta / Seltos, I will go for the Diesel Creta/Seltos. I feel their stance is much bigger compared to Kushaq.

Brezza is a sub 4m SUV while Kushaq's length is going to be around 4250 mm. It will lock horn directly with Hyundai Creta(4300 mm), Kia Seltos(4315 mm), Nissan Kicks(4384 mm) and Renault Duster(4360 mm).

No dash camera on the features list, this is being used in the same way we use one, for proof in case of any arguments/accidents.
