BMW Pan-India Stock Locator

BMW seems to have released a list of their entire inventory of new cars available in the country. Seems to be useful for finding out if an exact spec that you want (interiors/exteriors) is available somewhere!

Here's the M & the Z4 stock situation.

Re: BMW Pan-India Stock Locator

This looks like an excellent tool to understand your bargaining power at the local BMW dealer but I doubt the authenticity of the stock shown. For example - A look at the bmw jaipur dealer's stock shows multiple M2 competitions, multiple 7 series, X7s etc and even a M5 competition. Although jaipur does have a fairly large luxury car market, I doubt the same enthusiasm is shared for performance cars like the M2 and M5 that can cause such a stock holding.

Re: BMW Pan-India Stock Locator

This will be BMW India stocks. Before this as with many other manufacturers like Toyota, one needs to feed too many details and still the results will be Zilch.

Makes sense for a manufacturer to go for an online route. Regarding fears of price reduction, I don't think it will matter as the stocks are at Factory and unless manufacturer has reasons to discount, it will not help the customer in negotiations. What remains to be seen is that if this inventory is correct at factory level in real time or does it lag behind. Will try to find out, have enquired for the M5s they show here

Re: BMW Pan-India Stock Locator

The stock on the website does not seem to be updated since a long time. It gives the option to select your dealer and check the inventory however i had visited the south mumbai dealer last week, they are not even aware that such an option exists on the BMW website. On cross checking the inventory they do not seem to have a lot of cars which show as available like the BMW M2's and the X5 40i's or even the x3 30i's.

Went with a friend who wanted an X5 diesel. Only 1 or two cars available, no choice of colours, since there is a massive shortage of kits being imported to build these cars due to worldwide lockdowns. Discounts have disappeared.
Its advisable for members to not go in with high hopes. Its to be seen what is the situation at the end of the year in case the company plans to release its 2020 inventory for some reasonable deals.
