Tata Motors mocks the S-Presso for its zero safety rating

Here's another dig by Tata Motors at the Espresso after the recent GNCAP ratings. Wasn't sure about creating a new thread for this hence posting it here.

Witty! This is nicely done. The Tiago deserves a lot more praise than what it garners.

Tata has all credibility to take this dig at the shameless Maruti Suzuki.

And defending their incompetence by giving out statements that their cars are safe and follow government crash test norms, they ought to be shamed more, publicly.

Go on Tata marketing team, remember the mentos, er, the Seltos too.

Well done by Tata! I really love the confidence of the team at Tata now - they really are winning and you just know it!

I don't think Maruti can come back with a response here. The ideal way will be to make most of their cars safer and show Brezza wasn't a fluke by getting a good rating all across. But I guess that's beneath them and their current value system!

And this deserves to have its own thread! It needs to reach a lot of people. Will be great if someone from support can make it happen!

Oh man ! What a way to start the morning.

Don't just read the text, 'read' the picture and enjoy the play; coffee beans - espresso coffee.

Tata getting their mojo back. The i20 first and now the Spresso. Though Hyundai came back with another pun, I doubt the i20 can claim to have won the battle.

Looking forward to more witty ads.

Wow! Super witty response by Tata
On a lighter note, Kia/Hyundai must be feeling bad that Tata stole their punchline: "We dont brake that easy" (albeit with a spelling change)

Tata Motors mocks S-Presso for zero safety rating

Tata Motors is at it again!

This time around, the Indian carmaker has indirectly targeted Maruti S-Presso through their social media channels.

The post shows a broken mug full of (espresso? ) coffee beans with a caption that reads "We don't break that easy. Driving is seriously fun, only when you live it up with safety."

For reference, the S-Presso' tagline goes like this:
Tata Motors mocks the S-Presso for its zero safety rating-screenshot-20201112-085708.jpg

The S-Presso is an entry-level product from Maruti Suzuki which scored a disappointing zero stars in a recent crash test by Global NCAP. As if the results were not enough, Maruti Suzuki issued an equally pathetic statement in response to this.

Although one segment up, Tata Tiago scored 4 stars (but with unstable body structure) earlier this year which no other rival has been able to beat till date.

Important links:

Global NCAP tests Kia Seltos, i10 Nios and S-Presso. All three perform badly

Tata Tiago and Tigor score 4 stars in GNCAP

Excellent.

Maruti has been bragging about ‘kitna deti hai’ since decades and has successfully hardwired it in the heads of Indian junta that mileage is the most important thing in car purchase.

Similarly its high time TATA should brag about the safety aspect heavily and hardwire it in common junta that their cars are actually ‘SAFE’. It will take a while for our public to realise the difference but am sure this will help change the mindset in right direction

Good smart ad, hitting it where it hurts!
Maruti can't do much now that the beans are spilled

There needs to be a massive campaign for the average buyer to be aware of safety ratings and other safety aspects while buying a car. Tata is doing it's part!

Nice to see a good one from the Tata Motors PR factory. Witty, funny and to the point. Gets the message across and how!

This Advt will work with limited audience and I think that audience already knows. They need something that has a wider range. Maybe a ' lekin safe hain kya' style blitz.

Excellent ad, loved it.

Also please have a look at 2020 Tata Motors Diwali ad, which focuses on Safety.

Wish you all a safe and happy Diwali!
