This is near Pawana Dam campsite. Found a trail which does not have paid campsite area where you can probably walk down to the dam and have your own picnic in peace. This area has been heavily commercialised recently!

EDIT - Has anyone installed 205/60/16 tyres on their Kiger? or 210/215? If yes, how is the feedback?

Re: Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19

Is this thread dead? Or there are hardly any Kiger owners on Team Bhp which is one of the leading automotive forums in the country. I thought, I would get insights and recommendations from likewise audience.

Really looking forward to the below query.

Renault Kiger upgrade

I bought a Kiger RXZ turbo manual back in 2021 (should've gone for the CVT, I know). I always missed the TPMS and traction control in the control. They were the things I felt would make the car complete for me. Now the 2023 model has them so I was thinking, since it is OEM, shouldn't it be possible to get them on my car?

If it is possible, what is the procedure to get them installed on my car? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Renault has discontinued the Kiger RXT CVT variant. The Kiger CVT is now available only on top end RXZ variant. This has been updated on the Renault website too.

Dude.. even I regret not buying the CVT. I have RXZ turbo manual btw. And those new features of this Kiger can't be added to the older version.

This is big news.. surprised by the general low activity on Kiger threads. If course there are lot of players in the market to catch buyers' attention

Yes. This is one of the most lucrative options from a driveability standpoint. No offence to being an SUV, you can very well call Kiger/Magnite as Hatchback on steroids, but mind you for the price point they are a perfect bang for the buck, esp the Turbo variant.

Guys,

One of my relative is very keen on the Kiger Turbo CVT RXZ.

He quite liked the driveability and space on offer (for a CSUV).

Only thing that is holding him back is the AC performance. The test drive vehicle was a 2022 make, and outside temperature of around 39-40 degrees, the AC could not cool the cabin sufficiently even after 15 minutes of driving.

Is the 2023 Kiger better in AC department ?

Looking forward to real life reviews by BHPians.

Currently using a 9 year old - 2 lac kms plus (hand me down from the company I consult for) Santa Fe AT. Beautiful machine but... the old timer's joints are creaking. Lovely to drive on the highway but rather tough in the narrow confines of the city.
Will probably go in for a roomy hatch once the old timer's body gives way. Considering the way new car prices are on a northbound trajectory, it will have to be a Wagon R or something.

I own a Kiger RXZ CVT Turbo MY2023
For Bangalore, I have no qualms about the AC. It's not a bone chiller but is getting the job done more than sufficiently for me
Perhaps ask your relative to TD a MY2023 vehicle, if available in another showroom?

Hi DCEite,

AC performance for the Kiger is 50/50. There are 2 scenarios in which I would be able to explain, considering the outside temperature is 35C plus.

Bumper to Bumper (+35C)
In this scenario it takes time for the Kiger to cool the interiors. Plus there is bumper to bumper traffic in which not much is in motion for the AC compressor to work. You might take some time in cooling the interiors, however, the sweaty backs would still continue till you get some momentum

Highway Cruise (+35C)
Not much time required to cool the car as it is in motion and the compressor can extract the required energy at full or optimum level without compromising on engine performance. Immediate cooling is felt.

Hope these answers your questions. Overall from other cars that I have driven (WagonR and Ciaz), I would place the Kiger in between these two options. Nothing great, not that bad either.

Re: Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19

Hi Kiger Owners,

I bought a RXZ Turbo CVT a month ago (have loved every minute of it! - will perhaps share a summary soon)

There is a small quirk I've been noticing and I wanted to know if other owners are seeing it as well

Whenever I start the car and move from P to R and then to D (my parking spot is such that I have to reverse first and then hit drive), there is a slight jerk and the car jumps forward a bit. This only happens on the first start and also only when D happens post R. It does not happen if I stop and start the car during the journey anytime post this slight jerk at the start.
Although minor I wanted to check if this is potentially concerning and if others have noticed this too?

I noticed the same in my car, it happened a few times when I started from idle. But my guess is, it happens only when we cold start the car. If I just keep it idle for some time and then start the drive, the jerk never happens.
Mine is RXZ turbo manual by the way.
