Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

Toyota has launched the Innova Crysta facelift in India. The MPV is available in three variants - GX, VX and ZX and prices range from Rs. 16.26 lakh to Rs. 24.33 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Prices are the same across the country except Kerala.

The refreshed Innova Crysta gets an imposing trapezoidal grille finished in piano black. The redesigned front bumper has triangular pods which house the turn indicators. The MPV also gets new diamond-cut alloy wheels.

On the interior, the ZX variant gets optional Camel Tan upholstery. The MPV comes with a larger Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment head-unit that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has features such as real-time vehicle tracking, geo-fencing and last parked location.

In terms of safety features, the Innova Crysta comes equipped with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability control and Hill Start Assist. A new addition is the front clearance sonar with MID indication.

Highlights of the Innova Crysta facelift:

  • Trapezoidal Piano Black Grille with Chrome Surround
  • Redesigned front bumper
  • Diamond-cut alloy wheels
  • Front clearance sonar (with MID Indication)
  • Camel Tan upholstery (ZX variant)
  • Smart Playcast touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The Innova Crysta facelift is available with the same engines as before. These include a 2.4-litre diesel producing 148 HP and 360 Nm as well as a 2.7-litre petrol that puts out 164 BHP and 245 Nm. Both engines come with a choice of a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

A whopping 60K increase for the AT variants and around 30-40K for the manual variants. So include the additional road taxes, insurance, etc the AT's end up nearly a lakh dearer to the old one, especially in cities like Bangalore.
The new android/apple compatible HU should have been there a long time back and this hike isn't justified IMO.
Seems like currently, Innova gives better returns on investment compared to the interest rates in banks

Why are the prices different for Kerala? Noticed the same during the Vellfire launch too. Is it due to the flood cess?

The base variant GX doesn't even get the new android/apple compatible HU as per the official brochure on the website. Also I was hoping Toyota would provide 7 airbags as standard from the GX variant.

Toyota is clearly behaving greedy even though Innova Crysta sales have already started dwindling. Hoping for discounts to kick-in soon.

As much as I'd agree with you, discounts on a Toyota, especially the Innova, is wishful thinking. Dealers were swamped with bookings much before the pricing was revealed. Come what may, TKM will laugh their way to the bank when it comes to Innova and Fortuner.

I guess that's why justifiably it gets smaller increase. And if you were expecting Toyota to give a facelift without minor increase then my friend you haven't noticed how it has increased from 10 lakh to 30 lakh OTR in fifteen years.

I thought they had 7 airbags across all Innova and fortuner models. But I might be wrong.

Seems the innova sales are falling. Toyota ensures that the margins are intact by raising the prices

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched at Rs. 16.26 lakh

What a disappointment, the manual doesnt even get a six speed box which could have been a good upgrade for the kind of price segment the car sits in.

GX now loses cruise control which I believe was there earlier and no more stock navigation(as if someone used that) on all variants. But the sort of price hikes baffles me.

The GX variants seem to have the new HU mentioned in the specifications. Attached is the screenshot from their website.

Truly a disappointment. A dealer had earlier mentioned that TKM had held back on charging the full impact of BS4 to BS6 upgrade. However honestly the GX variant at 20L+ OTR is pretty bare-bones without any navigation, 7 airbags, plane-jane interiors, etc. I hope TKM follows this thread and does a price correction soon.

Cruise control wasn't available earlier though. Navigation is lost.

Interesting. I was looking at Petrol variant and clearly missing in there. Screenshot below. Maybe a glitch on the website or else a totally messed-up variant line-up.

One more change seems to be the introduction of the 8 seater option in the VX manual. No luck for the ones looking for an automatic though.

The GX does get new infotainment minus Android Auto/Apple Car play.

8 Seater VX was available since launch of Crysta.

The GX on road price in Bangalore is listed as 22.81lacs. Add few accessories and extended warranty I am looking at 23.5lacs. Does GX have enough equipment for 23.5lacs- Hell no, does it have enough equipment for base variant? Yes it does. VSC,3 airbags, alloy wheels, Touch screen infotainment, center arm rest, seat height adjust, adjustable headrests for all are hard to find in base variants.
