Indian cars with unusual colours from the factory

Indian carmakers rarely experiment with new colours for cars. We usually see the same old mundane black, white, and silver colour options being offered (like the Kia Carnival). Some cars get dark blue, red or brown colour options as well, but nothing out of the ordinary.

This thread is to tribute those who offered unique paint shades that makes the car stand out in traffic.

The colour looks like black from some angles and in some light conditions, while it looks dark blue from in other conditions / angles.

Great thread.

You forget the metallic green colour signature to the RS variant of the Qualis. Back then, metallic colours were as rare as snow in the Sahara. If you owned the Qualis RS, you had arrived in life.

I think this shade of yellow, probably one of the first in the Indian auto scene, was a factory shade of the old MH410 Zen. In my opinion, it suited the car well and back in the 90s, this would must have stood apart from the regular shades.

However the new Thar in Mystic copper shade should have been in the list. At least to my eyes, it looks very good and stands out of the crowd. Attaching a picture below of the same -

I think yellows are pretty rarely seen on cars sold in India. There is only a handful that I can think of (apart from the Nano and Palio already seen in the opening post):

Interesting thread! It's unusual to see manufacturers go quirky on colours, it can be a hit or a miss in a country like India.

My favourites on this list would be Honda's Emerald Green Pearl & Maruti 800's Exotic Green. Green is a colour which always surprises me. Quite underrated.

Here's another quirky green colour which was offered on the Nissan Micra. Any ideas what this is called?

VW Polo in flash red. Ever after owning this car, I can't think of any other red (Flash red as they call it by VW & Skoda) on a motor vehicle. Yes, its flashy, vibrant, young and so cheerful.
