Hope Skoda gets it right this time with the DSG box etc.
Issue with a loaded car in a market like India is that the car becomes overpriced with respect to other products in same segment/product band. Also maintenance goes up and repair costs increase. soon, reputation of the company suffers and drives away customers who are looking at basic specs.

the trend in india is changing, for th past 2 years we are getting loaded hatchbacks like swift, getz and even the smaller cars like spark are coming fully loaded and even have options to get safety features like abs. so the trend has not been not to load much, its the other way now. we are getting fully loaded small cars and big hatches. but i do agree, that the trend of people buying fully loaded cars has increased and people are ready to pay the extra for luxury/safety features.

hey guys, i asked the skoda dealer in gurgaon, he told that there is no news of fabia launch and are expecting it to launch by nov/dec. the price range i got from them was between 4.5 - 8 lacs(Woaahhh).
they said there would be 2 variants in both petrol and diesel, and the diesel might give a average of around 18/20 in city.
8 lacs doesnt look good for a car this size.

dude,, its not a "High quality bumper".... , those dots might be the reverse parking sensors. there is no quality difference in exterior body parts among variants.

Then again, our perception of 'fully loaded' cars is different from other markets. A hatch with ABS as an option and with fog lamps, rear demister, parcel tray etc is considered fully loaded.

The only hatch that is truly fully loaded is the Swift ZXi- 2 airbags, Automatic climate control, ABS are features missing even in the above segments. But then, sales haven't been too high for the ZXi (although decent numbers are to be seen). Most of the people opt for the mid-end VXi.

i agree that, the black one is the top of the line model but the blue one is not the base model either, the base model fabia pic has been posted earlier.

this car might be expensive, but its build quality, fit and finish would be a revolution in the hatch segment.

check out fabia's dimension

Quite Dim, the AT Octy didnot sell much and hatchback buyers usually dont buy AT's though it cant be ruled out that they might laucnh a DSG version of the same.

8L for Fabia top, that can get a 2.0L 120bhp Optra Magnum Max against a hatch with a 1.3L 3 cylinder 68bhp car

I guess the Base version would be with Driver side airbag, Aircon and a basic cassette playing HU, remote lock, steel wheels with wheel covers. Bumpers would be body colored IMO.

The one above this would be (in addition to the above) - 2 airbags, rear windscreen de-fogger, alloys.
