Seems that Fabia also suffers from poor visibility while reversing just like the Swift

Now thats a shame! I thought this was going to be a premium small car? They expect people to pay nearly 7 lacs for no climate control, no auto tranny, no integrated HU, no leather interiors, no sunroof, and no rear discs?? tsk tsk tsk (shaking my head in disbelief)!

I betcha no one would mind paying more for a premium hatch as compared to the bigger non-premium segment (for e.g., overseas, everyone pays more for the small Alpha Romeo A3 as compared to the bigger toyota camry)... but then again the hatch has to be PREMIUM and not just a marketing gimmick!!

It looks quite nice . Now only If skoda would do the right thing and plonk in a couple of necessary things like ABS / Airbags / Music System & Alloys and price it like around 6.5 Lacs, everyone would love to buy it !! here is hoping ....

Well, Skoda needs to do some serious research if it wants to make some serious numbers. They are already infamous for their expensive maintenance.

I will prefer to buy swift over fabia even if they are priced at par and specs are same - simply because i get a car which is easier & cheaper to maintain. Dont want to buy a white elephant.

Skoda Fabia

Hi guys, i saw Skoda Fabia on 30 June in Chittoor District kind of near Andhra Border. The cars really looked cool.Could not take a photo because i was driving to Banglore. It came right opposite me.Both P and D versions....Looked really cool.Dimensions looked more like Swift.
Petrol version was blue in colour and the latter was black.

Both the cars looked stunning. Just like all test cars the manufatures name and the car name was covered with some sticker.....
But i would really say that if this car cost 5L.Then its a steal.
Really Really Stunning looks. It was really fast as well........
Hope you guys also run into it to and grab a photo.....

Hmmm. Nice pics tushky!

Something things that came to my mind after seeing the pics.

1. Dashboard seems well build and of good quality materials
2. Like the silver finish given to the ac vents
3. Somehow hate the ac dials. They centre one look out of alignment.
4. Looks toooo swiftish. Although, looks muscular too.
5. Looks like a nice big boot.
6. But has the rear legroom been compromised? See the marked portion of the pic?

EDIT: Also found international reviews comment that rear seat legroom is tight. From Autoexpress

legroom would be more than swift

hey guy, the legroom wont be much but it would definitely be more than swift.its wheelbase is much longer than swift. the interior space would be as good as the getz.

Build quality

it would only sell for its build quality, that too if it is in the league of octavia. 'cause otherwise it is really swift like, nothing very great about the car.

According to ACI, both engines petrol and diesel will be 3 cylinder. 1.2 petrol and 1.4 diesel, to take advantage of the new tax structure.

Great. It'll be vibration central then, more so with the diesel.

I remember watching on the car & bike show, when they reviewed the fabia they said that the 3 pot petrol engine is not so great but the diesel engine is much better.
