| ![]() It seems Jeep India is going the 'MG' way. They would be giving an introductory pricing, initially, and as per my local sales guy, one can expect a price hike from March. Price hike can be expected in the range of ₹80k - ₹1.5 Lacs, depending on the variant. Indicative pricing- ₹16.5 to ₹23.5 Lacs ex-showroom. Top variant will be the 'S', and was told that there would be 4 variants in total, with the lower variants getting the dual tone interiors (bummer). Price reveal on 27th Jan, with TD vehicles being available from the first week of February. Booking amount ₹50k, fully refundable. One can change the variant and colour after the launch, too. |

Introductory pricing ( and extending it indefinitely ) is a great way to lower/correct the prices without admitting that a product is overpriced. I Hope Jeep does that ![]()

| ![]() Really? Dual tone only in the lower variants! That would indeed be a bummer! I was looking forward to the brown interiors! |

| ![]() It seems that the Sport variant is ready to do battle with the Creta / Seltos / Taigun / Kushaq top variants. Just 2 airbags is definitely a bummer, though. Apart from that, it is quite an extensive feature list. If they can price the base automatic variant at around 20L OTR, it definitely will convert a lot of buyers. |

| ![]() I guess they've missed a trick here - a mid level variant with the popular bling priced south of 20 lakhs to take on the top variants of creta/seltos/harrier. May be a longitude plus with sunroof will be offered down the line like harrier's XT+? |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Interesting! Price it "right" and the SPORT & Longitude both trims are actually covering quite a good list of convenience features with moderate safety kit also included. Just get the pricing precisely and these 2 trims might be able to turn it around rather well for the Compass. I'd go so far as to say - this is the best trim & feature loading I have seen over last many years. Very sensible choices. Most other car makers make ridiculous base trims that don't justify the asking prices - intentionally. And these base trims also look stupid at just a glance. Something for other car makers to learn from Jeep here. Let's see if the new Safari gets a rear wiper from base model XE for example. |

| ![]() IMO, the base variant is not value for money at all. The current model's diesel manual sport plus (same features as facelift's sport variant) is priced same as Harrier's XT diesel manual and has same level of safety (both rigidity of body and electronic safety) but the harrier has many more features like fog lamps, auto AC, electric foldable mirror, push button start, Auto headlamps and wipers, 6 speakers, lumbar support etc. With the increase in price of the facelift, it would make it even worse. What exactly is Jeep India thinking? The only thing that they can cash in on is that Harrier does not have a petrol engine or even diesel automatic in XT/XT+ variant. |

| ![]() The variant spread is good! The Limited option looks particularly good with all the safety tech and no unnecessary additional bling. Very tempted by this car now! |

4WD LOW & 4WD LOCK I believe the earlier model came with just one button for 4WD LOCK. Is there any difference in 4X4 capabilities for the facelift?

For someone on a fixed budget, this premium can't be justified, come what may. The net gap should be 2L for someone to consider this car, especially the lower variants which bring in good volumes. For someone with a flexible budget and looking for a good 4-5 seater car and willing to pay significant premium for the experience offered, Compass becomes a strong contender.
