re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Wanted to book one. The page doesn't load. Checked up online and the website is down. Only Maruti can be so underprepared for something like this.

Called the showroom guys in Pune (Chowgule) to book a TD, and they said that they are accepting bookings for the new model only now.

This is going to absolutely kill the competition!

Fully loaded, 6 airbags, sunroof, upgraded interiors, a reliable 1.5 NA engine with TC and paddle shifters and probably a 5 star rating with 6 airbags. It’s going to set the sales charts on fire and will have a long waiting list. MS knows what it’s customers want.

Do you know what the 'Y' in the lower chart stands for? If its availability, does that mean there wont be a ZXI plus (MT) for the 'pearl brave khaki' colour?

To be honest, I actually like the grill of the Amaze. Its flat and well defined in its design. This Brezza grill looks convoluted by comparison. I agree its ugly.

Agreed. Their marketing gimmick of creating appealing entry prices by plonking the hapless 1.2 litre engines into sub compact SUVs leave a bad taste in the mouth.

I dont know how relevant this may be to the mainland Maruti buyers, but as far as a state like mine in the outskirts of the country (Nagaland), it has always been Rs. 11,000 with a penalty of Rs. 1000 for cancellation.

Went to the showroom yesterday (20/06), was told that it is refundable.
Paid 11,000 for the booking which hadn't opened officially by that time. However, by the time I returned home, Maruti Suzuki's officially opened the bookings.

Good job by Maruti to regain the lost crown. Maruti will gain big this time since Nexon, Sonet and XUV300 are not readily available and got huge backlog to be served. I liked the way competition is showing respect to Brezza, Venue - facelift launched, Sonet- updating soon, Nexon - CNG is coming, XUV- feature updates like 9" screen.
Except the grille and engine tuning everything looks fine in the package. Bookings in the range of 50-60K will look good for maruti's volume.

Expect a huge waiting period as the company is already sitting on 20k bookings that is yet to be delivered in its current form.

Passenger car market leader Maruti Suzuki, which has opened bookings for its new Vitara Brezza on Monday, is already sitting on 20,000 bookings for the car’s earlier avatar and is looking to substantially increase its monthly numbers from the current 10,000 units with the new version.

Agreed, with M&M going for a kinky-sounding tagline for the new ScorpioN and MSIL opting for something which could have been used for a cellphone, smartwatch or a smart room heater.. I really miss the taglines of yesteryears.

Shashank Srivastava: We have added many first-in-segment features in the new Brezza.

- Heads-Up-Display
- 360 degree view camera
- Telescopic steering
- Electric sunroof, wireless charging (first time for a Maruti)

Quote:
And this is backed by the engine which now comes with ISG and dual-VVT. So its slightly improved, with much better fuel efficiency because of the mild hybrid technology. A six-speed automatic transmission, six airbags, you also have ESP with hill-hold assist etc So in that sense it has gotten a lot of features including the new-gen Suzuki Connect.

In terms of the platform, has it become a little bigger or more spacious?

Yes it is actually

OLA says hi!
Atleast with Maruti, one can find a dealer nearby.

Noticed the new prl (possibly pearl) Brave Khaki colour - should be an interesting option. Don't know whether it will sway more towards police khaki (which might look a bit odd) or the one with a slight greenish tinge.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I called up my local dealer to see if they have any additional updates on the car. Except for the colour, they have none. I am just hoping we get the car in the month of July booked this month beginning, as I have a bad feeling that after the launch the bookings will go crazy and the waiting period will be crazier.

That is correct. Same is the case with Sizzling Red single-tone color. It will not be available in top trims ZXI and ZXI+. Only available as dual-tone options.

Brave Khaki is already available in XL6. You can search for the pics of XL6 to get an idea.
