re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Well, I am too disappointed with the prices, but I think there could be other reasons (bigger NA petrol engine + 6AT combo).

For the price of Zxi and Zxi+, Ertiga now seems to be a good value .

Vxi surprisingly seems a good value, if only they were provided with silver alloys and 4 airbags it would have been more tempting.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

It's disappointing to see that Maruti couldn't downsize the engine by turbocharging it (amongst other things). Being taxed at 47% GST, will make it very difficult for Brezza to compete with Venue/ Sonet that are at 28%. In any case it is a big price increase. While for the base variants its a barely 10k increase in price, top end variant sees a 2.5lakh increase.

I fear, the humble Brezza may find it tough to live up to the lofty expectations of the loyalists.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I hope these are not "introductory prices" better check if written in fine print!

"et tu Brutus!" "et tu Suzuki!", that's what came to my mind. I did not really expect this high pricing.

Jokes apart, I am sure pre 2022 Brezza models are a better proposition and would now be lapped up by the price conscious buyers.

New Brezza looks nice but I think it is overpriced.

The head unit reminds of old CRT TV kept on a table.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Can someone shed some light on why the power rating is mentioned in terms of kw instead of bhp/ps? Of late I have noticed a few manufacturers resorting to this! Since Brezza's power rating(about 103 ps) is not extraordinary given its competition, is this done deliberately to confound an average buyer?

Attachment 2327394

75.8 KW translates to 103ps.

OMG thought I was alone in thinking this, first maruti reveal that i have seen for it's cars, the word techy and metaverse reveal was really nauseating and full on movie style, the car unveil ad is so fast and short that i feel they should've spent more time on that ad than this reveal

Maybe i am spoiled by Apple tech announcements, that this feels more Bollywood style.

I like the car though, nice replacement for my i20, hope this also scores 4 stars in gncap.

It looks amazing. The headlight graphics are quite BMW-esque with the angular 'halo's" and the interior is definitely more exciting. The prices are definitely on the higher side though, it'll be interesting to see how consumers feel about the hike.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

The new Brezza is almost 1.3 lakhs more expensive than a Sonet Turbo DCT, on road ,Bengaluru! If u want absolute fuel efficiency, Sonet D AT is cheaper by around 60k.

Exactly, what is the point of having sub 4 metre length if u use 1.5L petrol and lose the tax benefits. So, the upcoming Maruti YGF(Vitara) wont have as big of a price gap compared to Koreans as the percentage of taxation would be same across the segment.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Seeing the VXi variant pricing, I think it may be good to increase budget by 1 lakh & go for Seltos base model or Kushaq Active Peace (if it comes again) as they also provide nearly all the features plus a bigger car.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Also, no armrest provided even for ZXI version. Forget sliding but missing out on even a simple arm rest for Zxi is very disappointing.
I wonder how that area will look? Ugly, perhaps?

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I think zxi plus is priced at 1 lakh premium, vxi and zxi are priced at 50k premium. Front looks okish, back look is good and the interiors are also looking very good.
I think Nexon will retains it's postion at No 1.
At this price point I would better go for slavia or virtus 1.0 manual, mid variant.

Those roof rails are out of place.

Regarding Pricing- It's a Maruti. Whatever you put up today you will recover more whenever you sell off.
