Ooh. Paddle shifts. Fancy.

Hope there are six ratios to play with than four.

Maybe it is the camera angle (like the XUV700 scoop), the front looks kinda tamer. More like the FL Nexon and Triber vibes. The current front end is so clean and conventional, that any change will feel different. The rear looks clean and more sophisticated.

Sunroof and a conspicuous screen on top of the dash. The market is going to be wild!!!

Appears as if the engine bay length is shortened compared to the existing model. Hope, the new Brezza is not based on heartect platform as speculated by many.

Addition of sunroof and features will sway many towards a Maruti again. Maruti always had the last mover advantage

Great efforts from Maruti, hope this is a new model altogether and not just a major facelift. Looks like they are going to pack 6/7 step CVT with paddle shifters may even comes with 1.2 NA for better entry level packages.

Looks good. Sticker on rear windshield says July 22. So this may be launched somewhat at that time.

A proper 6AT is required in Maruti stable now. They've flogged the dead horse for too long.

Will I be interested? No if there is no change in length as I require a longer vehicle with more luggage capacity, maybe the new S-Cross if I've to look at Maruti only.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

This looks a much improved design overall, except for the front. The front may need some time to settle in my mind - something is not really gelling well, not sure what it is. Rest, it seems very similar to the existing one.

BIG QUESTION : Is this a completely new car?

If it's a new car, then is this based on a global platform? Or an Indianized, potentially unsafe, one? We guess, we will see 0/1 NCAP Star only, then?

If it's the same one, I hope it at least retains the 4 NCAP stars. I would like this to be built on the old Platform, utilizing it's safety, with new edge design and features.

Interestingly, looses the Vitara name. Has only 'Brezza' on the tailgate, just like Dzire.

The clearer pics in the video reveal two things:
1) Homologation Deadline 1st July 2022.
2) SOS Service Connected. Connected Car Tech integrated?

Don't expect paddle shifters with 4 speed box, hopefully it's not step CVT!

Strong hybrid can be a game-changer, but very little chance for this.

Interior has Toyota vibes, in a good way.

Sunroof is a welcome feature(must in this segment).

The front doesn't look very good in the video but that could be due to the angle shot at. The bonnet style is similar to the Range Rovers. Rear looks good. With a good automatic, this could rule the market!

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

In order to keep the essence of Brezza’s overall design, I believe MSIL worked hard to keep the front stance of the Brezza which ultimately made the car look triber at front. Most likely car might look better in person rather than in these spy pics. Interior looks updated for sure. I really hope they haven’t compromised overall on the safety front. I really hope they cater to enthusiasts as well by providing a powerful engine.

Also, is Maruti dropping the "Vitara" branding?

I prefer the older design over this. This one feels like a mix and match of a lot of other car's design elements.

Apart from sunroof and paddle-shifters, let's hope, this might also be the first Maruti Suzuki car to get 6 airbags. Plus, it's high time MSIL makes ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and HHC (Hill Hold Control) available for it's manual cars. Currently, these active safety features are limited to some of their automatic models only.

Could there be a remote possibility of separating the Vitara moniker due to a(n) (im)possible launch of Vitara in India? (Wishful thinking.)

The upcoming mid sized SUV in collaboration with Toyota is likely to get the VITARA badging!
