I'm pretty sure prices will go up if the leaks are anything to go by. Six airbags, 6 speed AT gearbox, all new dashboard and instrument console, bigger touchscreen and a sunroof are expected. Even the sheet metal will be new except for the four doors.

The onslaught of technology is inevitable.

So, instead of focusing on the negatives, I think we should think positively A feature/technology in Maruti will be used by many more people than any other brand's version, so, the possibility of bugs being found out early and in enough numbers for developers to troubleshoot and solve is much higher. So, the things may get sorted faster and everyone gets the benefits when the SW gets updated in the next service centre visit (or OTA update, if that is available. Worst case a recall). So, there will be more happy buyers than in other brands where few affected buyers need to escalate all the way for many months to get issues resolved!

The six-speed AT and six airbags will elevate Brezza to the Creta segment. I expect a sharp price increase if these are true. When it comes to space, Brezza anyway has an edge compared to Venue and Sonet.

I hope they keep the price competitive to the sub 4m category. but the price hike might apply to the S-Cross facelift taking it to the Seltos/Creta bracket.

I've booked the SCross Zeta Manual, but after going through this thread the upcoming Brezza seems to be a good package. What do BHPians suggest, should I wait for the Brezza or go ahead with SCross? I need a car within 2 months.

Within 2 months, that's April. The updated Brezza won't be in the market by then.

The front panels seem to be a bit different from the old spy pics. We can see an additional "cut" on the area marked, mostly trying to accommodate a chrome bar. Unnecessarily busy front then, IMO. They might have changed it considering the criticism that the front part is not much different from the current Brezza.

I see front parking sensors. That's a first for any Maruti! my only hope is that they do not botch up the engine and gearbox combo.

Or, what we may have spied here is the Toyota Version of the Brezza, with a redesigned front end.

All in all, can't wait to see the new Brezza come out on the streets. Eagerly waiting for its launch.

It seems that the New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Brezza is getting delayed, likely by Mid-2022 only as per this article in Gaadiwala.

It is not delayed. The Start of Production of New Brezza was anyways planned somewhere along May-June period with launch by July or August this year. This is likely to be soon followed by the S Cross replacement and New Alto in Dussehra-Diwali season.

Can you be more specific? Are we getting the updated S-Cross or something similar, or will it be the new one being developed by Maruti and Toyota? When is the Maruti-Toyota SUV expected?

The updated S Cross as launched in Europe and Australia is not scheduled for India. The Toyota Suzuki joint development model is what I call the S-Cross replacement. This is the same vehicle which is also being called in our forums as Creta Challenger.
I don't know anything about any other SUV that Toyota-Suzuki are developing. If they are, then definitely it's part of the 2025 EV line up.
