While the car looks amazing (except for those wheels!), I wonder why does it look longer! I wonder if it is due to the large quarter glass or maybe if Maruti has really made this car longer than 4m! Not like it was getting tax exemptions either!

The car actually looks quite cool. The first and the third shot in fact have a very Fortuner Legender-ish and XL6-ish vibe to them!

Yes the Sunroof is there, though looks to be overshadowed with the black roof!

Well, the success of a car never depends on it's engines! If that was the case, Tata's entire lineup except Nexon Diesel and Harrier (and XL) would've been discontinued long ago!

If the general customer can accept that stoopid 1.2L Revetron Punch and Altroz, I'm sure they will accept the K15c wholeheartedly.

Good work Maruti, the design sure looks promising & with its 1.5L NA engine, it is as per me a more sensible choices than Sonet & Venue. Any idea though if this is still based on the 4 star rated old Brezza platform or the new platform?

Me thinks the nose is the most unimpressive part of the car, rest do look good. The side and rear are particularly good looking. Nose looks kinda insipid.

Yes, it is due to the larger quarter glass hiding the thick last pillar visible in current Brezza. Have a look:

Maruti has been sharing some good alloy designs with the new cars. XL6, Baleno and now Brezza have far livelier designs now.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Nice and heavy update for the second facelift of the model hinting flogging of the model further postponing the full model change.

The car was introduced in 2016 with a facelift in 2021 and toyota version in 2020, sold around 770K+ units till date.

New changes looks heavy including -

*New front & rear fascia including the hood.
*New all around thicker black cladding.
*New dashboard.
*Equipment additions like 6 airbags, paddle shifters, sunroof and 6AT.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

I am very interested in Toyota's version of this given that it's been said Toyota's going for 5 star safety with this one. Fortuner inspired nose like the last time and the T badge would make this the perfect subcompact SUV! Not that Maruti's version would be any less. I haven't been a fan of MSIL cars in recent times but this could really change my opinion. If everything goes as planned, we might even get this car within a year.

I like the front, side and rear profile of the car. I haven't been able to say that about any car in a while now. The engine+gb combo looks promising. Maruti has really ticked all the boxes with this one.

The Nexon only recently started doing 10k+ numbers, this will surely make a dent in that.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Not overdone by any means.

The best thing is the rear. The same can't be said about front. Not sure about the interiors, though we can safely assume that it will be better than the current one. That red color is so sporty.

As it doesn't enjoy the sub-4m advantages, they could have easily extended it by another 200mm and fight for the lower end of creta / seltos segment. The new YFG can fight in its upper segment, while the Baleno-based SUV can fight in sub-4m segment.

Maruti, just shut up and take my money.
And a possible 4* safety rating repeat!

This Brezza is not a facelift in the "cosmetic facelift" sense. All the outer and inner panels are new. However, the side profile is retained with a different incrementally changed nose. All in all, the extent of changes would be more than the 2022 Baleno.
As far as the engine is concerned, the tune is likely to be closer to XL6, i.e. laser focus on mileage.

I'm so impressed with how good this facelift has turned out to be, hope they tune the engine better than the XL6. Good job Maruti

This is concerning . The K15C engine has been downrightly called as lethargic by all the reviewers. All reviews have uniformly given a to that engine.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

New Brezza's looks are indeed very impressive!
I love front and rear profile of the car. Not so sure about the side profile. May be it will grow on me. Eagerly waiting for the Toyota version.

Hope MSIL tunes the engine better.

I can't recall, was K15B tuned differently for Brezza and XL6/Ertiga before 2022 facelift? Or Maruti has done different tuning for same engine in different cars in the past?
