Approx - 9L OTR. There's hardly much difference with the Elantra CRDi post discounts ?
The new Elantra, whenever it comes will probably be priced in Octavia territory.

New elantra vs old Octy, even with that combination, is there a competition? Why doesn't Hyundai realise that it's USP is of making VFM cars.

In anycase I think they are not taking the low sales numbers of the Verna seriously.

Hyundai makes good car but they can't compete with Octavia on IMAGE factor. Hyundai is like Maruti. Even Maruti failed in selling OMB at high prices, it was the price cut that tempted people to buy it. Anything above 10 lac for Elantra they are in trouble again.

So hyundai is good at Small and Mid size and not luxury sedans coz of their IMAGE in India industry.

The new Elantra would be 10lac up I guess.

from the site..

""The new Verna CRDi SX has an attractive wood grain interior, a built-in two-DIN music system with four speakers and a lamp in the glove box for easy visibility. The driver’s seat is dual height adjustable and has a central arm rest as well as an adjustable rear headrest for added comfort. It also has features like front seat back pocket, seat back hook and electrically adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVM). The instrumentation has been upgraded to display information like outside temperature and distance to empty for the fuel.

To add to these features, the new Verna CRDi SX offers keyless entry with a burglar alarm, front map lamp with sun glass holder, sun visor mirror for the driver and chrome rear garnish."

missed the Automatic Climate Control!

It is a matter of time before they start discounting the Verna. The fun and games will begin once the Maruti SX4 ( Diesel )is launched.

I have no respect left for MUL, even if they say its cheaper i would prefer the Verna, atleast they wont give you false promises about the delivery
