According to ET, the Santro base version still comes in close to 40K below the Matiz...sorry Spark.

santro base model comes without a/c .... plain vanilla car and that explains it.

Personally i think the pricing is good ... not too sure on the variants specs as yet.

I think UVA is also selling but its just that GM India has production constrainsts hence seen less.

Chevy is on the right track in India according to me and just need to wait until they start off their new plant.

Best of luck GM India ...

M, the base model Santro comes with no AC and no PS.
Not sure what features base model Spark has but it is sure to have AC.

Yesterday on Zee business the spokes-person said that Alloy + ABS package will cost 35k extra. But then again he also said this car is Matiz's copy and infront you get front fog lamps

Yesterday a news channel reported that the base model (3.09 lakhs) does NOT have air-conditioner.

Saw the car standing at National Garage in a bright yellow. The side profile seemed interesting, with that little kink in the front door. Should be good to see some variety on the small car front after a long time.

This is not new. It has been active since a few weeks. It does not have any details about the car, specs etc.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is the 'Matiz' back? How much does the Spark share with the Matiz?

The cabin layout looks very similar to the Matiz barring the location of the instrument cluster. I wonder why they did that.

The base model seems a typical no frills one . GM might be looking at the base model to go up against the Santro XK. The Estilo base does come with an AC though.

They have even compared the service cost and the parts with Estilo, Wagon R and Santro.

The centre console is a bit odd. All the passengers can see exactly how much you are pushing the engine. Prepare to be nagged by the ladies of the house
