> The fit and finish looks fab. I am sure it will look a lot better in person.

> The rear seat space just looks adequate. With the raised central bump at the rear, it looks like it is suited for 2 adults.

> Skoda aims to sell 1 lakhs Kushaq by 2025 which means ~2K sales per month and that indicates it may not undercut its rivals by a huge margin to boost the sales.

re: The Skoda Kushaq crossover, now unveiled!

How much extra money would it cost to put Rear disc brakes over drum brakes, Skoda really missed a trick here. Overall a great package indeed, should have given the Digital display as well for the top end model.

I don't see this making much of an impact on Creta Sales, but Seltos will feel the heat.

Best of luck to Skoda, price it right and it will sell.

The 1.5L TSI will only be offered with the DSG.
Only the 1.0L has the option of the manual.

I doubt many potential owners of a vehicle like this would tune their cars for more performance. For an enthusiast, the Polo GT is still more mod friendly and affordable.

I am disappointed with the DQ200 because of the reliability concerns with this gearbox. VW and Skoda will have you believe that they have rectified the concerns but you never know.

Yes looks like it's missing the virtual cockpit. For some reason though autocarindia is still mentioning it in their article

re: The Skoda Kushaq crossover, now unveiled!

Top spec Creta Turbo petrol AT retails at 22L here in Bangalore. Will Skoda undercut? I doubt. At 23L Kushaq is going to be expensive but what will hurt them bad is missing diesel Engine. Just read in other thread that 70% of Creta sales comes from Diesel!

I see 1.5L has both manual and auto transmission.

Looks really good in tornado red. Eagerly waiting for the price reveal. 1.5 TSI + manual will be a hoot. Rear 3/4th profile somewhat reminds me of Jeep Compass.

re: The Skoda Kushaq crossover, now unveiled!

As per media reviews that happened last month with wrapped car, it was 1 liter engine which impressed them most. So watch out for better pricing and package there.

Yes, this will be the real validation. Look forward to the official Team BHP review.

By the way, any update on when they are releasing units to the media for test drives?

re: The Skoda Kushaq crossover, now unveiled!

The Kushaq looks promising by seeing its features and looks but I don't think that the Kushaq will take away the crown from Creta/Seltos twins and I don't think that the Skoda will price decently or undercut the Creta/Seltos in terms of price as well.

Lack of Diesel engine is the only grouse with the Kushaq, which will be the biggest advantage for Creta/Seltos in terms of sales. Or else, it will sell well if the Diesel engine along with Auto transmission is introduced in this vehicle, this one will surely take away the crown from Creta/Seltos.

re: The Skoda Kushaq crossover, now unveiled!

There was some question on disc brakes in the rear. One of the videos shows a bit of the rear tyres more clearly. I have taken a screenshot of the same. Looks to me like disc brakes

Overall, it looks a very refreshing package and the stance is more estatish rather than the boxy korean twins. Ofcourse the proof is in actual viewership. Also, the steering wheel is a hit or miss. I dint see any of the Kalamkari prints, maybe i missed it out. But that seemed to be a differentiating factor as well

I think the max sales will come from 1L, TC trim. For the 1.5l engine, the mainstay would be manual. Once stuck with a poor name the DSG box again is a hit or miss
