Dynamic means the media people would get to drive the cars, in static you can sit and check out the car without driving.

Will we get 1.5 TSI on mid variants with the Taigun?
It could be worse, Anything is possible with VAG group, I won’t be surprised if they skip the led headlamps and good alloys on the top end GT variant like they skipped 6 airbags on top end Kushaq. I just hope for ours and VWs sake it’s not the case.

Certainly won't be the case for the top-end variant, features of which are already highlighted on the website -

https://www.volkswagen.co.in/en/models/taigun.html

However, unlike the Skoda where we get LED headlamps on the mid-spec, Taigun may only have it on the top-end.

I saw something interesting on the VW website linked above.
It says "Flattened Tunnel at the Rear Bench".
How come with same platform, Kushaq doesn't get this but Taigun does?

It will be similar to Kushaq. 'Flattenned' does not mean completely flat, but less compared to the international MQB A0 products. We will have more details once the media drives commence.

Skoda had also highlighted this to media during the prototype drives. Quoting Autocar below -

Quote:
“We’ve also done other changes which are more relevant to India. In Europe, for example, you tend to have a more prominent transmission tunnel; these cars (in India) will have an almost flat transmission tunnel,” said Boparai.

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

I currently own a Polo 1.2 diesel. Somehow this new car looks more Korean than German. I hate how they have overdone the chrome on the front. This car won't age well. Hopefully VW have retained their hallmark handling and ride balance. Looking forward to test drive the 1.5 tsi manual variant.

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

Sentiments echoed. The Chrome and the rear light bar somehow come across as the only off character slips in the timeless design language that VAG cars are known and appreciated for.

This car is also on my shortlist and I suspect there will be others looking at this wondering how to get a chrome delete done. If I were to put money on this eventually, a chrome deletion is the first thing I would personally get done. That front chrome garnish is a pure eyesore in my opinion.

Having said that, had a casual conversation with my VW Shaman sales contact from my GT purchase days and he mentioned there's already a very good booking response for the vehicle

I agree about the garish chrome looking out of place, but I do like rear. Not as much as the kushaq, but quite striking. I'll be going for this if they bring in the Digital cockpit otherwise the Kushaq has my money.

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

If the mid-variant doesn’t get chrome and LED headlamps, plain-jane alloy wheels then on what basis are they planning to charge premium over Kushaq?

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

Any updates from Media Drive starting today ?

Usually, we get some glimpse and short teasers on Twitter, but so far everything is bleak.

Maybe this is an evening event/drive.

It's been long time Team BHP has reviewed a Volkswagen. This will be interesting.
