How is that?
I checked and saw a lot of Audi Car's Virtual Cockpit. But none of them seems to be similar to VW Taigun's Virtual Cockpit.
Anyone has any idea?
There is no way it is an Audi inspired cockpit. May be the video uploader used the term to get more views. Audi offers one of the best virtual cockpits among the luxury segment with high resolution graphics and tons of information and different views.
I am not sure whether VW is already offering this downgraded ‘cost-cut’ cockpit in any other country. It seems everything including features are cost trimmed in MQB-A0 IN. Better to pay 5 to 6 lacs more and buy the proper premium CSUV T-Roc.

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

Why don't car manufacturers coming in now, just copy the Seltos in feature spec? Yes, just blindly copy - because they got it bang on! Is that such a hard task? I really like the solid looks of the Taigun, over Kushaq. But feature-wise, on top-spec, I think we all know who wins. My requirement is for a diesel, so the twins are not on my radar. But good effort by VW, and I hope they do well! These are their next gen products, on which the future hinges on.

I'm going through Bunny's review put up yesterday and noticed rust on the accessory bolts. Volkswagen branding is pretty close to it. Oversight, perhaps? But surely not on 'opening-night'

This "downgraded " virtual cockpit is offered in USA and Latin America models AFAIK. We're not the only ones affected by it. I would gladly pay the premium for T roc only if it came with better rear seat space. As it stands, Taigun has a longer wheelbase , more rear seat space and headroom. Seems absurd but Taigun seems to make more sense . I would wait for the NCAP ratings before making a choice

I checked VW USA and Brazil websites. VW offers full fledged Active Info Display in models such as Polo, Virtus, Nivus, Jetta, TCross, Taos, etc.

Will just give you an example, apart from the top end variant of the the Taos, others get this 8 inch display. You can check on any website or YouTube videos.

It is obvious that it is a cost cutting measure but not a region specific display.

Ob bad I missed to see lower variant cockpit in the official website. But it is a shame that in other countries this downgraded cockpit is offered in lower variants rightly whereas in our country this cockpit is offered as top variant feature

Re: Volkswagen Taigun | A Close Look & Preview

I have seen lot of cribs on the digital cockpit. After the luxury experience in troc, I can understand the feeling. After 4 months of car search i have reconciled that there is nothing like a perfect car, one needs to what are make/break parameter and ones which can be compromised on

I have zeroed on 1.5DSG configuration, that left me with Kushaq 1.5 Automatic vs GT Automatic vs TROC

Absence of 6 airbags meant Kushaq is out of contention.
TROC is a superb package, terrific driving experience but is certainly not a done deal,
1. it is 5.5 lakhs expensive
2. CBU selling 1 k a year will obviously have poor service and spare experience compared to those selling 1k a month (conservatively)
3. No cruise control (this was a near deal breaker)
4. Some features are meant for colder markets and not necessarily designed for high temperature conditions like heated seats.
5. Back seats definitely felt cramped when compared to Kushaq although larger boot

I am increasingly decided on GT Automatic, it offers 6 airbags, paddle shifters, cruise control, looks like seats are borrowed from TROC, all necessary for a good driving experience.

Pls do suggest what add ons do one needs to purchase is you hVe been through VW/Kushaq purchase experience. Need to firm up my cash got go

I have listed to following
1. 5-6 year warranty
2. Minimum maintanence package
3. Reae sun blinds
4. Laminated floor matting

Expecting a lakh on top of the on road price.

I saw this button on steering of Taigun,..
The steering wheel seems identical to a US specification VW Atlas Cross Sport. On the Atlas, the button you mention in the picture, is to bring up the Driver Assistance Setting menu. It typically would have Forward collision warning & Lane keep assist.

In a few hours we shall know what that button does on the Taigun.
