Do we have any reliable insider source information about XUV700 launch? They are loosing good numbers to Safari and now with Alcazar. Soon to be followed with Toyota badged Ertiga and Kia KY. Well!! This is kind of analysis/paralysis.

Found an interesting bit on the forum. Way back in 2012, @CrAzY_dRiVeR had actually coined the nomenclature, XUV 700, although he had meant this for Rexton that point in time. I doubt Mahindra would have conceptualised the name back then, let alone the car.

So recently came across this post by ICN stating that Mahindra XUV700 is scheduled to debut in the month of July this year. I couldn't find the media source that they referred to but they have stated the debut to be next month followed by official launch in October, which is consistent with the already present notification regarding the launch in October stated by Autocar as well.

Mahindra has lost a good number of customers.
Their product is not ready and team Mahindra is not able to Deliver it in good 3 years.
After launch, Mahindra products have a number of niggles and problems which are ironed out in the 2nd year of launch mostly.
Mahindra is losing the crown of the segment which once it was King of.

It’s got to vary from product to product, Thar was launched after a period of 2-3 years and it turned out to be success story. In case of XUV700, the Tata Safari has clearly got an early mover advantage and is selling in decent numbers for now. It will be upto Mahindra on how much they are able to create the hype before and after launch.

Wonder what to make out of Anand Mahindra tweeting an old XUV 500 video and this newspaper stating that XUV700 will be launched in early 2022.

Now would be a good time for Mahindra to do at least a "digital reveal" or get some pictures of the 700 "leaked". Alcazar would get quite a lot of people excited and by at least letting people know what the 700 would look like, they can try to postpone some purchases!

Almost every prospective SUV buyer has pinning hope on XUV700 carry forwarding successful 2.2L mHawk engine from Thar. Its a wake up call for Mahindra to keep the customers engaged by revealing bits and bits of detail like Hyundai did for Alcazar. The latter neatly increased the buzz around through constant feeding of teasers..
Being late,going to loose great numbers to Alcazar and Safari..

XUV 700 For dealership test drive and media etc will start production from Mid of July. Customer vehicle will probably start production from end of August. Launch and media announcement date still unknown.
There will be quite a number of variant with top of the line AT trim with all bells and whistles. There will be a Diesel AT AWD variant too, which will definitely give an edge over harrier for the right buyer.

I own XUV500 W8 2013 clocked 1Lakh kms without any major niggles. I have been waiting for XUV700 from the day it is announced even two of my cousins are waiting so far.
As the things are getting delayed my cousins planning to go ahead with other available options Alcazar and MG Hector as there is no solid information on the Launch date.
One more doubt arising in people's mind is that whether the vehicle facing any issues as the testing is keep going on.
Mahindra is really loosing potential customers day by day.

If the production of XUV700 for test drive and media has started now, is there any reliable update about pre-launch like Alcazar introduced to the media at Fort Alila in Bishangarh near Jaipur?

Well, Mahindra has to learn a thing or two on how to keep their prospective customers engaged throughout this pre-launch period. Maybe time to get a change in the marketing team In the era of social media, you would assume that it's easy to keep one informed, but seems it's not for Mahindra. Especially, when the market has now opened-up with lockdown relaxation, customers are looking forward to changes and make travel plans. I see an increase in SUV sales in the next 2 quarters for sure. Hopefully, M&M will make a move soon and we see more action leading towards the launch.

Well, M&M is in the journey of analysis/paralysis and seems no beginning to the pre-launch phase. But my heart still checking daily for any updates in web, after all someone in M&M will wake up at sometime..Its ok to launch with semi-digital or even manual instrument cluster due to chip shortage. Loosing precious times to competitors .
