Are there Fiat sales-men after the deal with Tata? I thought Fiat India is only a manufacturing company..

Anyways, they just need to introduce their new models here.. The dealers will know themselves whoz boss when the sales increase and will align automatically.. 1L is just a number to instill confidence and reaffirm that they have a plan in place to get back their (rightful) market share..

Every TATA dealership, assigns 1 FIAT salesperson.
The sales targets are not on par with the TATA sales guys!!

I would like to add that the Teflon coating, 3M film, Under chasis coating and all the minor works are done by TATA dealerships.
The Teflon coating done by them was bad. Planning to get it done again.

Teflon coating is a big eye wash! Instead, get the cash discount!
But, since you already bought the Car, ask them to Redo it, but don't be surprised if it is badly done again!

IMHO, Fiat Sedici is way better looking than SX4. http://www.whatcar.com/car-review-pictures.aspx?RT=752

I guess all that European styling is lost when Maruti manufactures it in India !!

Well, there's some news about Fiat India from "The Hindu" today (The Hindu : Metro Plus Chennai / Wheels : Fiat’s planted now).

Highlights:
Ranjangaon plant operational - capacity of 1 Lakh cars and 2 Lakh engines p.a.
10 % lower production costs than earlier plant at Kurla.
1.3 multijet in the Stile in 6 - 8 months
1.4L 77bhp petrol engine (from the Grande Punto) in the pipeline too
90% localisation targeted by '10, resulting in 30% cost benefits over the older plant.

Sounds good, doesnt it?

Thanks for your wishes folks. Will write something more. But my initial impressions were a bit disappointing.
For example, the engine seems a bit loud during starting up. My wife commented that it sounds a bit like diesel. Is this normal? (We had an Accent before)
Also, there are some pinging/clicking noises once in a while. Cant exactly describe it. With the AC on, the engine noise seems a bit louder than what I was used to with Accent.
Otherwise, I am enjoying the looks my cars get. Waiting for the running in period before opening up the engine.

Cheers
