Looks like Air Suspension is the only major addition. A great and much needed addition at that price point. It is now nearly 5-7 lakhs costlier than before.

The price gap between the F-pace facelift and Velar is now 10L but with a key product differentiation this time around which is the Air Suspension!
This was a much needed move as essentially the Velar and F-pace are the exact same platform, engine, etc. This made the F-pace more VFM and buyers like me went for the F-pace and saved a good amount when essentially the pre facelifts had one major advantage to the Velar which was dual interior screens on the dash. Now that the facelift F-pace has this too, the Velar had to set up it's game.

They should have chucked the Air Suspension and given the P300 tune present on the RR Sport to differentiate from its "corporate-cousin". The current drivetrains feel strictly adequate and better/bigger engines are needed for the full luxury experience.
It seems they are too focused on luring the GLE300d customer.

Agreed. Air suspension still tends to be problematic in our road conditions.

On "luring the GLE300d customer" part, this particular Mercedes variant comes with a 4 cylinder Diesel and a standard suspension. It is somewhat the Mercedes equivalent of a Fortuner, a workhorse albeit with a Mercedes star. Wonder if the Velar would ever be able to match that image, especially on the reliability and resale counts.

I wish Land Rover allocate more production time for the Defender and the full size Vogue lines rather than lifestyle niche vehicles like the Velar. The Defender is seldom readily available, and the Vogue line carries long waiting periods. People looking at Land Rover either want the rugged Defender or the luxurious and image carrying Vogue. Unfortunately the Defender is still difficult to get, and when I checked last month, the Vogue carried a waiting period of 6 - 8 months, which is even longer than the Bentayga or the Urus!

When I look at the pricing and engines of the GLE as well as the Velar, the X5 with its 6 cylinder engine just seems like a no brainer.

Of course, the Range Rover has a distinct charisma that is just incomparable, but that’s another matter.
