So the XUV7OO handles better while the Ecosport has become uglier

I am here finding it super hard to find a buyer for my Facelifted Ford Ecosport Titanium Plus AT (Torque Convertor), 2020 model and here Ford has made a complete mess of the handsome Ford Ecosport face.
I wonder if this upcoming Facelift might help me find some buyers finally for my car

Jokes aside, By reading all the comments, its mostly a negative reception among the members here, don't know about the normal public, but I personally feel ford has ruined it.
Ford if you are reading this, I tell you, You have messed up your Top seller car in India in a big way.
You could have given it a wide body kit (Purely aesthetic with no space gain on the inside) but It would have been fine. A wide body kit and new headlights like the Raptor, few new colors and it would have been good atleast.

I am disappointed by Ford.

The new design looks different. It looks like it's mouth is opened by a dentist.
The current one looks better
Instead of this logo, if 'FORD' was written over the grill, I think it would look much better.
The DRL is not impressive either.

Just had a call with a Ford dealer from Mumbai. He said the new face-lift is going to be available by end of October. He said that they current gen models are not available and they have even stopped giving test drives of Ecosport. Ford certainly don't look that interested.

I personally liked the Ford Ecosport the most due to its non conventional looks but now with wide mouth open look, I feel Ford has the weirdest designers. How can someone not see that this car looks ugly. I mean they designed it ugly purposely? I think they may lose the fan base and people will move away from Ford in a big way

It's just the outer chrome strip portraying the grill very pronounced. Blacken it out and it would be palatable, just my opinion.

On topic, really disappointed with the facelift at least in the exterior styling. It's very minimal and less inspiring, meh!

Was really looking forward to getting an Ecosport, due to the power, stability and rough/tough nature of the vehicle, However, I am starting to change my mind due to the prolonged waiting time (3-4 months) without even a Test Drive facilitation for T+ Automatic in Mumbai. Dealers seem callous lately. I don’t care much about how it looks in the facelift. Engine power, handling, build quality and safety features are extremely good for its price. Please suggest a good alternative to this pocket rocket.

I just had a word with my SA from Bhavna Ford, Navi Mumbai. As per him, they are going to receive training on the facelift by next week and TD vehicles will arrive in the second or third week of September. I have a July booking and as of now he is confident of delivering in October. I am in the same boat as you and there is no other alternative offering the features and performance of the Ecosport in its price range, especially diesel. If you are ok with Kia you can check out the Sonet. I personally found it very cramped and the 6 speed gearbox and long clutch travel doesn't work out for me, whereas the automatic was out of my budget. Apart from that Nexon is a well built option, sadly it's again out of my budget and I never got a TD of the diesel.

Being an Ecosport owner myself, I feel sad at the way Ford India is going. The Ecosport is a great vehicle, why do they need to resort to such tactics? Every successive iteration must add on to the features and design elements; not downgrade the car! I now feel thankful that I chose a much better-looking Ecosport in 2018. This car will stay with me for more than 10 years now!

Exactly my thoughts. Ford India has taken a wrong turn here. Completely messed up their highest selling model in India.

In my case, I won't keep my 2020 Ecosport AT, it needs a new owner.

Same for me,
The cramped cabin space and 1 ltr engine kept me away from Kia, whereas Nexon having an AMT transmission is certainly not acceptable at the price point. Looks like Ford’s attitude will soon drive away(no pun intended) potential Indian buyers to less deserving alternatives.

Ok. I'll say it, I like the facelift. It doesn't look bad. Even now as I type this I'm going back and checking the pictures and thinking is this what elicited such a strong negative reaction? Really? It just looks a lot more butch and muscular and I wonder who likes that Oh wait, it's the target customer of the Pseudo SUV segment, so how's Ford wrong here? I don't mean to say that it's a styled as beautifully as a Velar or Urus, neither do I intend to say that it looks better than the cleanly styled one it's replacing, but it's not bad by a long shot. The orange one will surely be a head turner, and for the right reasons.

The front grille looks like an HDMI port. Maybe blacking it out completely will make it look better.
