The front view of the Vitara looks more like a Ford Fusion IMO. Could have better styling and a mean look. But this is just my opinion. The new endy which i spotted months ago looks more like a range rover.

Nice pics Monkey! Great looking car. From the pics it looks less humongous than the previous one. Looks leaner and meaner.

Good effort & Nice Pics monkey and the new vitara looks much better than the earlier ones. But too boxy to be compared with the Q7.

Its time to revive this thread, any news on this guys. They sure know how to time their website right, still no news on the website, come tomorrow it will be up and running. I hope maruti does a SX4 or a Swift with the vitara too, lets see who is the target this time is it the Scorpio/Safari/Innova or the Endy/Tuscon or the CRV/ X-trail. I just hope that it is somewhere between the 1st and the 2nd.

I was told 16 lacs OTR, Pune, for the automatic. The dealership told me one of their guys is currently attending the training program and that the launch is imminent.

They had only one brochure, which listed the specs for the 2.0L and 2.7L <not sure of the exact size> petrols, and the 1.9L Diesel. They said only the 2.0L petrol will be launched now.

This is the first time I have visited this particular dealership, so I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this information, so take it under advisement.

Considering CR-V is also CBU import, the GV 2.0L version should be priced in the 12.5-13.5 L ballpark. It might be lesser but certainly not more than 14.0L. Anyone can get this approx figure by comparing their prices in Japan.

Hi guys, I just went for a drive in a friend's Grand Vitara here in Jakarta. Must say the interior is well built. Suspension was slightly on the harsh side, but that maybe a different set up for India, not sure about that. Engine specs also not confirmed, though it was a petrol and was running silently. The HIDs light up the road ahead well. Thats all I can come up with. I know its far from a 'review', just sharing thoughts :-)
