The Kiger was shipped to Nepal some time ago and the car was available in various showrooms of Nepal for last few weeks already. The base variant undercuts the price of Magnite by NPR 1 lac. One of my friends called to last week to ask about if he should go ahead with booking a mid variant. Unlike Nissan and a few other brands, Renault has a larger number of showrooms. This model would sell in Nepal as Venue, Sonet and Nexon have become more expensive.

Renault Kiger for South Africa to get ESC on variants with the TCe 100 engine: Renault South Africa claims they are expecting a 3-star Global NCAP adult occupant protection rating despite presence of standard dual front seatbelt reminders, as opposed to Autocar India's claim of Renault India aiming for 4 adult occupant protection stars for the sold-in-India car like the related and similarly equipped Triber.

Safety wise, all Kiger models come equipped with dual front airbags while the Zen and Intens up the ante with dual side airbags. ABS and EBD is standard on all derivatives. The more powerful turbocharged models are further fitted with ESP. According to Renault SA the Kiger's body structure is reinforced to meet three-star Global NCAP conditions.

In India the Kiger get cup holders in the centre console under the armrest/sliding cover but in the South African market the Kiger has cup holders sold as an accessory!! I got to know this from a South African Auto Journalist.

Indian Kiger (taken from Team-BHP’s official review):
