My two cents. They've hit out of the park with the pricing. Nobody would want an AMT or a 4 speed TC when you get a modern 6 TC under 9L.

The only things we'll probably hear people complaining about are:
1) No Android Auto/Carplay
2) This should have been done years ago

It does feel like Ford wants to stay here

Titanium AT is a joke. Alloy wheels, rear wash and wiper, defogger, 4 extra airbags are easily worth more than 45000. Titanium plus AT will cost as much as Comfortline AT. Extra 4 airbags Vs Turbo petrol, with Ford's current situation I will go with latter unless discounts start flooding.

For just 30K more you get blistering fast Polo comfort line AT. Both are vintage now and despite lesser airbags, Polo has got better safety ratings. 7.75L is for Titanium and makes no sense at all. I am sure this will be paper only model and most bookings will be pushed for Titanium+ which costs 8.3L .

Re: Ford Figo 6-speed AT launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh

This seems like stuck in a place nobody is looking at. Cost conscious customers will definitely go towards the Nios AMT and one of the many Maruti offerings while the enthusiasts and badge conscious won't flinch before booking the Polo TSI AT. As I see it right now, this car really doesn't have a USP as such. Could've been popular and a decent choice if it was launched few years back but now it's just too late and competition has moved on. It's a poor last ditch effort by Ford.

Add to the mix, the Magnite and Kiger and the "SUV" form factor will make a lot of buyers sway towards them anyways.

The price difference is 80-90 k between Polo comfortline and Figo Titanium. For those on strict budget that’s not a small amount. Figo has way cheaper maintenance costs than a Polo.

Did Ford just discontinue all other MT variants? Because their website only shows AT variants now

Looks really optimistic from Ford. Just one AT model , may be beginning of a new trend. Makes sense , may be most of the Figo sales happen in cities, then why to keep manual variant when there are hardly any buyers.

Hopefully Honda reduce the prices of Jazz CVT

It seems like Ford have discontinued the diesel & petrol MT variants . It's not a wise move in my view, the Figo 1.5 TDCi in particular was one awesome car. If you want a petrol MT & diesel, buy the Aspire/Freestyle. Need a AT, buy the Figo AT.

Polo Comfortline is priced at Rs. 8.51 lakh, Figo Titanium + AT is priced at Rs. 8.20 lakh. As for equipment, only the extra airbags aren't the only difference. Figo Titanium + gets Auto IRVM, a touch infotainment system with steering mounted controls (Comfortline AT gets an Blaupunkt based touch HU), auto folding ORVM, Push button start (this feature even the Polo top-end doesn't get), 4 power window buttons on the driver's door.

Though engine wise Polo TSi is way better than the 1.2 NA engine on the Figo AT, simply no comparison here. Figo on the other hand is more spacious, has cheaper service cost. I think the Figo AT will (more like try to) compete with the likes of Swift AMT, Ignis AMT, Grand i10 Nios AMT. Compared to those cars I will still pick the Figo AT. Have 2 AMTs in our family, not a fan of how they drive.

Putting the rumour to rest. Just called Ford. They confirmed it is an issue with the website. I think they wanted a separate page for the AT. The brochure is specifically only for the AT is what I heard.

The diesel, petrol MT and the Titanium Blu variant remain as before.

Let's see when the websites are updated with the correct information.

This is the problem !

Everybody wants Android Auto / Carplay.

No hoot is given to what automatic it is ( TC / AMT ) unless it changes gear on it's own

Now, when a manufacturer prioritizes driving pleasure over gizmos, they are bound to fail in this market

Re: Ford Figo 6-speed AT launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh

Ford should have done this soon after BS6 upgrade in early-2020, they are now flogging at a dead horse here in India. Will the Figo AT sell much more than any of its competitors? No. Even this will become a flop, but an effort to plonk an automatic in the Freestyle would have looked more convincing. Any more significant product upgrades on the Figo/Aspire is just a waste of time. If Ford really wants to sell cars in India, they should come out with proper replacements for both Figo and Aspire.

Re: Ford Figo 6-speed AT launched at Rs. 7.75 lakh

Barring a few folks on team-bhp, nobody is going to even shortlist this car. The Figo is already a dead product. IMO, putting TC on the 1.5 TDCI engine on Freestyle or Ecosport would have attracted a lot of prospective buyers.
