Re: Honda Amaze facelift launch in India by August 18

As a first gen owner I see they’ve finally fixed the grossly inadequate headlights the first and second gen (pre facelift) suffered from. Yes rear headrests would be nice but what would be far more important I feel is if they’ve managed to reduce the excessive tyre and road noise that creeps in past 70-80 km/hr, makes highway driving almost impossible coupled with the weak headlights.

Also I assume the 145 km/hr speed lock continues as I don’t think they’ve made any change to the ecu, I could be wrong though, please update if anyone can confirm.

In typical Maruti, oops, Honda fashion, all we have are the ever so slightly changed lights and bits of chrome on the bumper. Everything else looks the same inside out. There is however an Auto position marked on the headlight switch.

The information you have provided is indeed vital. I wonder why this has been conviniently left out from Honda's official information channels?
This was apparently done to reduce the issues arising out of DPF(it seems they had got some complaints from Amaze diesel owners, only our forum members with an Amaze diesel can verify this) is what the SA told me. The only way to confirm this is to open the fuel filler flap and check if there is filler pipe opening for the DEF. Another way to check is to go under the chassis and check if there are 2 tanks(a big one and a smaller one).

So was someone able to open the fuel flap and check if they have shifted to DEF?

New Amaze to be launched in about 45 minutes!

If they give cruise-control on the CVT, I'll consider buying it

With that BIG of a price increase, they better also give you free tickets to a posh Cruise Ship!

Also, I am amazed by the people who actually get to use the cruise control (may be only on the big-wide highways?) since I have hardly ever stepped my foot away from the pedals considering our ever changing road conditions every few meters.
