I think the Amaze does reek of cost cutting but again the USP is the space and pricing. I think Honda have considerably improved the interiors as compared to the 1st gen Amaze. I have read a few users on this forum facing issues with the new gen version which was extremely rare in the 1st gen.
Again as someone mentioned above, the Diesel + CVT and a beater petrol work in favor it. If I had to choose between the Amaze and the Dzire now, I would pick the Amaze everyday.
At that point if one is looking at quality well screwed interiors from Honda, they would have to pick up the Jazz which has similar interior space though it commands a 50k-1 l premium.

I have heard a couple of reviews mentioning that Amaze Diesel CVT automatic has a electronic speed limit of 140kmphr, and, can't exceed this limit though car is capable. If this is indeed true (can be confirmed by fellow BHPians/owners), wish Honda does not impose such limits in this face-lift.

The Amaze has always had the 140kmph limiter. The Gen 1 Amaze and Brio also had it. Although the engines are capable, the overall platform isn’t meant to go any faster. But it this is a fairly moot point. 140kmph is plenty fast, and higher than any speed limit on any Indian road.

Booked top end Petrol manual Amaze yesterday. Was informed that I will be getting only the new updated version which will be launched on August 17. The salesperson informed me that only LED lights and the design of alloy wheels will be the difference.

Price info was not yet available. Allocation of deliveries will happen on August 5th.

Is the changes mentioned here correct? Sunroof?

That’s the case in all Honda cars, and it’s more of a pro. It gives the feeling like one is seated on a sofa unlike a chair which is the one with hinges that you’re referring too.

I wonder what features might get deleted. I hope the rare Diesel + CVT combination stays. Within that particular segment - diesel is dying/dead already. This rather unique combination should stay for those few diesel lovers.

With the recent price hike, Amaze diesel CVT has lost its VFM factor. The top-end VX CVT diesel now costs 14 lakhs on road in Bangalore which is quite a jump from the previous price of 12.10 lakhs. In addition to this price hike, the facelift may have an additional price hike which will further increase the on-road price.

It is not a rumour anymore. The prices have already been updated on the Honda website as well in the dealership brochure. But it is rumoured that Honda is going to increase the price further on the facelift models.

This new facelift looks much better, and cleaner from the front profile.

However, the Interior design appears to be a mish mash.
The AC vents in the middle appear do not gel with the design of the Centre console & the Infotainment System.
And the bezels around the Infotainment are un-necessarily thick.

The alloys of this Amaze facelift seem to be similar to the ones offered on the V variant of the 4th generation Honda City.
