So this would be the transmission to be available on the facelifted Ertiga, XL6 and Brezza, 6 speed AGS with paddle shifters? Now I'm kind of sure that Maruti will loose all cars with conventional TC transmission and have only AMTs/AGS in their line up. We may or may not get the full hybrid but I feel this 1.5 NA K15C with AGS is surely coming up.

The reviewer does say that it works great, but we need to see it in real world scenario.

This is not coming to the new Brezza. It's a proper 6 speed AT.

Maruti is planning to launch 2022 XL6 in the coming weeks. First units have started to arrive at dealer yards ahead of launch.

The alloys appear to be bigger than the current ones, 16 inches I guess. Stance looks good, maybe due to the new alloys.

Yes, these are the same 16 inch alloys that come with XL7.

Maruti Suzuki Product updates:

-Ertiga, XL6 facelifts to come by April 2022

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift :

The Ertiga’s 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine will most likely continue as is, but the 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will be replaced by a new 6-speed unit. Mechanical updates aside, the Ertiga facelift is expected to feature a new design for the grille, along with new colours and possibly updated upholstery for the interior. There are talks of the new 9.0-inch infotainment screen making its way to the Ertiga as well

Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift:

The facelifted XL6 will likely come with a mildly revised front end with a new grille and reworked bumpers. Sources have also suggested that the updated XL6 could get both 6- and 7-seater configurations, in a bid to widen its appeal.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG:

Maruti Suzuki has been looking to introduce factory-fitted CNG kits on its Nexa range of cars, the first of which will be the new Baleno.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso DualJet:

This engine will likely be replaced by the new 67hp, 1.0-litre K10C DualJet engine that’s offered on the new Celerio

Maruti Suzuki Ignis DualJet:

Like the rest of the range, this could also be replaced by the more powerful, 90hp, 1.2-litre K12N powerplant.

All New SUV, New Generation Alto and Swift CNG are some of the other products slated for 2022 launch.

Does anyone have any update on the launch of New Eritga with 6 airbags and an updated AT gearbox (6 speed)?

If this happens, MSIL would retain a very big lost ground and even increase some market share. These are the only two updates that have been missing in the current generation Eritga/XL6.

Two days back, I got a call from a NEXA SA for my update on the purchase of XL6 (I took the TD 4 months back but did not book the vehicle). Obviously they are trying to do away with the current stock.

I am ready to be the first one to book the new ERTIGA if it fulfills the above 2 mentioned criteria :-)

Any pointers would be helpful, thanks in advance.

Updated Maruti XL6 launch by late-April, Price announceemnt of the XL6 will take place after the market launch of the refreshed Ertiga, that will most likely launch in the coming weeks.



- New XL6 could get a more fuel-efficient 1.5-liter petrol.

The new updated Ertiga and XL6 will be keenly watched by folks who have booked the Carens but not got the deliveries yet. With the recent price hike for Carens, it remains to be seen whether VFM tag for Carens Prestige still holds good.

I suppose in a feature to feature and build quality comparison, Carens might still hold the edge?

Bookings for the new XL6 is open, with the old nomenclature. We were told that we can change the variant after launch. Tentative waiting period is 10 weeks. Fingers crossed!
