Re: Maruti-Suzuki lines up updated model range for India

As per my SA, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift may also be launched on 21st April.

Their training was scheduled last week but has been postponed (might be due to XL6 & Ertiga launching together, not sure though).

I've pre-booked Ertiga VXI CNG Silky silver in December 21, however SA informed about new facelift will be available in different shade of silver (not the same as outgoing version) and in new other colour shades as well.

The SA also mentioned that facelift ERTIGA CNG version is going to be launched in two variants with 4 Airbags, VXI & ZXI and I can upgrade to the ZXI variant after the launch

Can anyone confirm about two variants of CNG version ?

The new 1.5-litre petrol engine for Ertiga, XL6 facelifts will get Maruti’s DualJet technology. The XL6 launch is likely to be on April 21, while the Ertiga to launch in coming days.

The new K15C 1.5-litre petrol delivers 115hp, which is 10hp more than the outgoing powerplant. A five-speed manual will be the standard transmission on offer, and sources tell us that a six-speed torque convertor automatic will be offered as an option.

If the DualJet engine is introduced in the facelifted Ertiga and XL6, I would blindly purchase one and cancel my existing bookings for Kia Carens and MG Astor. In view of the CAFE Norms II w.e.f 1.4.2022, I was expecting this anytime.

Yes the Dualjet K15C is confirmed, along with 6 speed Torque converter gearbox and paddle shifts.

Oh, these updates should give Kia a run for its money. The bait and switch act that they pulled for introductory pricing was nasty.

SA confirmed 16" new alloys and 6 airbags for facelift, and No CNG.

Few reports were saying CNG might be offered which he declined. Dealerships have started with sales training for the facelift.

Any indication on the prices for the upgraded Erriga and XL6? What do members think will be hike range? Rs50K - Rs1 Lac, with the 6 speed TC seeing the biggest jump?

Spoke to a NEXA SA today. He confirmed that there shall be no 7 seater option in the NEXA range. Only XL6 in the NEXA. He also mentioned that there shall be 3 variant of XL6 and might have 360 degree camera.

Re: Maruti-Suzuki lines up updated model range for India

Any info if the 5 speed gearbox has been retuned for the dualjet? The existing 1.5L engine is not as fuel efficient(given the ever increasing fuel prices) at cruising speeds as the tacho hovers over 2.5k. They should have introduced a 6-speed MT similar to the revamped auto gear box. I will not be surprised if the automatic variants boast of higher FE figures on highway runs.

True. Same case like the Innova.

The K15 is a decent engine even in this age of turbo GDI petrols, but boy it needs a 6th gear or a taller 5th.
