Even the Safari is within striking distance!

Its the same as Fiesta diesel (I mean the engine) and the interiors are same as that of Fusion petrol. I guess nothing is new in this car except for the steep price so why bother with a TD

Well, the ride and handling is someting to check out.

Fusion petrol has issues here and with heavier diesel engine, I would hope things to improve.

I think the price is criminally high but Fusion with very good ground clearance, spacious and nice interiors and now with frugal and silent diesel engine make an amazing car.

Alas...had it been made by Maruti (read - reasonable manufacturer to deal with for service, spares and overall economics)...

FORD is unaFORDable...

I think they are making a big mistake marketing the Fusion as a hatch-back (which it actually is). We are used to hatchbacks being in the 2 - 5 lac range. But a good amount of viewers may get put off on seeing a news channel beam "Fords Fusion diesel hatchback at 6.5 lacs".

This is what Ford Customer says about pricing of Fusion D.

Dear Mr. XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Ford India.
We appreciate the time you have taken to write to us.

Our marketting department along with our enginneering team review
the product and a lot of inputs go into deciding the pricing and
the pricing is deciding on the value of the product which again depends
on the engine sophistication the features and performance enhancing
components in the vehicle. The fusion diesel is definetely a product that
would reciprocate for the value.

Assuring you of our best services and continuous support at all times.

Thanks and Regards

Customer Relations,
Ford India Limited.

Their cost of maintanance of Fusion P itself nightmare to see and now with Diesel Fusion I guess its more or may be slgihtly less.

Ravi.

Perfect example of what an HR is. They make everything seem so good and any injustice meted out to you is shown to be justified.

Cant you write back to them , what sophistication are you referring to and what is it that is being thought of as a performance enhancement device in the car which is not present in the other competing Diesel hatchback.

I think FORD will slowly kill the FUSION by themselves. Such overpricing was never expected.

And I sincerely hope FORD got the earlier sales figures of Fusion right before deciding on the pricing.

Hope the consumers prove them wrong.
