Who said so? Currently, Fiesta has overtook NHC as the segment leader with a vast majority of them being the diesel!

not sure yaar. that's why it said looks like. I dont know the exact sales numbers of only the diesels of fiesta and verna.

Just seeing the numbers of one showroom who deals in both ford and hyundai. he told me that the Verna diesel was selling more than the fiesta diesel.

He also told me that all the petrol 1.4 and 1.6 were both doing good and were selling more than the petrol vernas. Also what you mention i.e. fiesta all models sold more than the NHC.

I'll try and get reliable source and post up accurate numbers.

vid, arif check vasudeva's figures of indian car sales from SIAM posted here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/441542-post166.html

Only in feb 2007,ford was able to sell more than honda[4502 units VS 3617],march and april honda has been able to claw back and is outselling the fiesta.

Guess what hyundai is doing better than both honda and ford ,so hyundai is the segment leader for the moment. The sx4 effect and sales figures will be known this month only.

Hey guys,
I dropped by at Shaman Ford today and spoke to a salesperson there.
He said the Diesel Fusion is expected in 2 months.
Should be here soon.

2 months? That would be good. A different story as to how it will fare. Just hope the pricing is on expected lines.

Yes, but they say the price would be 6.25L approx. We were hoping to nab the Fusion at a price below 6.

They should probably launch a no-frills version for a lower cost.

Wouldnt that still work out about 6.5 lakhs in Bangalore? Considering the image of the vehicle even otherwise, would it be able to pull in customers?

But i guess the price is quoted by TOI and no comments about price from Ford themselves. I seriously believe the price is going to be higher in Bangalore.Nothing is cheap in Bangalore :(.We just cant work out the price reduction that the goverment is giving them on tax.So its hard to predict.
