Btw, i don't think they would put the manual in the sedan because the 6speed manual is only offered in North America and in the coupe only.

For 16.9, this is good competition for the others. But prices have to come down still.
Looks like this vechicle is equipped with all the goodies - *leather, alloy wheels, power-everything, climate control, traction. Except perhaps a sunroof. I wouldn't miss it. Anyone know if this vehicle can be purchased with option packs mix n' match ?

I think 17 for a Honda Accord V6 is ok. I was expecting it to be around 18-19.
BTW, is the Indian version coming with "Variable Cylinder Management". If so, then expect it to turn out some amazing fuel efficiency figures, maybe even better than that of the 4 pot Accord.

Yes Shantanu, the Indian version is mechanically identical to its American counterpart. It does have the cylinder shut-off feature while cruising.

Powerslave, there arent as many mix&match options as in the States with the Accord. Both the Bombay dealers are offering sunroofs on the entire range.

In other words, if I wanted a V6 Accord without the sunroof and leather seats, I couldn't get one ? No base models !?
Cloth seats suit Indian weather conditions better, I think. Anybody here with leather in their vehicle would like to comment ?

Also, the model found in other markets has a hp rating of 240, correct ?

Correct, and its not limited to the V6. Even the current I-4 Accord cant be had without leathers and alloys! The only trim its available in is the Vti-L, and the only variants are stick shift, Auto or V6. Accord Prices here

I had heard that too, but no problems whatsoever with the leather seats in my C Class. In fact, the Stanleys do not heat up at all even if it is parked right under the sun. I havent got darker tints installed yet (right now its plain glass), but these glasses will help cool the interior all the more.

Yes but almost all Indian car manufacturers detune their engines and lower compression ratios to accomodate the highly irregular fuel quality as also the lower octane levels available here.
