I am actually surprised as what is taking Maruti so long. Generally I see Maruti quick to respond, given the kind of market share and familiarity of market. From engine/gearbox standpoint, Maruti lacks expertise but atleast they should have made other features available. Maruti is running through a rough patch where there is lack of new car launches and existing products are getting little too old. This can mean only two things- Expect a heavy onslaught in upcoming months including launch of Creta rival, DDiS, period correct features or Maruti has lost the plot and has scripted its downfall.

This is the first time I have seen a single-digit sale of an MS product. Even with an updated model launch. I always feel MS updates should not be taken seriously as they form the benchmark of the least updates in a 'new' car. Honda is trying hard for this benchmark now.

Ford seems to be the only manufacturer in the negative in a surge month. I hope they stay or go quickly. At least that will spare the new customers some hassels.

Citroen - I missed reading the entry at first glance. The mass-market mover is needed now.
some of the spy shots of the sub 4m SUV left me unimpressed. Will know only on launch.

Tata is putting on a good show.

13000 Cretas is a stupendous number considering the price bracket. Does it mean India is heading to being a mature auto market?

Seltos has sold lesser than the Sonet again.

Mahindra has good numbers for XUV 300 and the Bolero.
