Toyota launches 'Virtual Showroom' for customers | It is quite well implemented

Toyota has launched a 'Virtual Showroom' on its digital platform. It enables customers to look through the full range of Toyota vehicles online.

The virtual showroom has an integrated payment gateway that enables customers to book the cars directly through this platform and schedule a test drive as well. Toyota plans to add other services like best offers, finance options, loan applications in the future.

Customers can select the Toyota vehicle of their choice, get 360-degree external and internal views, check out all the available variants and colour options, switch on the lights, open and close the doors, virtually experience the top features in the day or night modes and get variant-wise prices. Customers can also see how a Toyota vehicle will look when parked in their garage or portico using augmented reality mode on their smartphones.

The virtual showroom can be accessed on any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop by simply logging in to this website.

Played around with it for a couple of minutes. I must say, purely in terms of implementation, it looks like quite a lot of effort has gone into it.

Toyota must be feeling the heat with the competition in the SUV/MUV segment coming up with compelling alternative options all poised to grab from its market share.

A welcome initiative nonetheless

Finally I could explore Velfire. For a normal person who cannot afford such cars, this is a big step ahead. Loved the concept and we should thank Toyota for introducing this tool. Hopefully their management listens to us and introduce their Yaris hatch for our market

Customers can see how a Toyota vehicle will look when parked in their garage?? As if Toyota has the most beautiful designs in the world. Forget design, they take cars from Maruti, put their logo on them and they want customers to think they are buying actual Toyota cars! Instead of this stupidity, being one of the world's largest car makers, they should bring or design better cars in segments other than Innova with better value for customers and try to increase market share. When companies like Hyundai, Tata have all electric cars in their product range and others like BYD, Tesla, etc are testing their models in India, what is Toyota doing? Launching Virtual Showrooms?
