Till now have seen only two logans fresh out of showroom in past one week. Both exactly at same location and same time but different day. One was black other one was cream/beige colour. Apart from it saw a black one parked at gallaria Hiranandani, powai. In black it looks ok'ish.

Agree with you here. Was it the red colour or something? Maybe we both saw the same car.

The one i saw was being driven by a gentleman in a blazer, and had the Logan name in place of the licence plate.

No car has ever bagged so much bad comments than logan in the history of indian automobile industry. There are exceptions but they were from bygone era.

Makes me feel nostalgic.. The ambassador had bonnet release on the same side. And we had to use it frequently!! Hope this wont be the case with Logan.

Come to think of it, If I were given a choice of buying an Amby or the Logan, I would go for the Amby with my eyes closed. Its the real wide bodied Sedan

amit you may actually have a point. I think Mahindra should seriously explore the possibility of relaunching the car in another garb. While doing this they can work on the car's look to make it more palatable. Even the interiors can be worked upon.

I thought they would have learnt their lessons when they launched that boxy voyager. When that thing did not work a decade back how the heck they thought the boxy look will pass muster in this millenia?

Relaunching the car? I am sure those who have booked the car would kill them for that move.

Frankly, i dont think there is much/anything they can do to overcome its greatest shortcoming - the exterior looks.

Actually the design of the estate/weekend version of the Logan looks palatable. It is the sedan which looks like a real "bargain basement" car and sadly, having launched it, Renault India may have inadvertently got the "bad design / cheapo" tag stuck onto their backs.
