Look wise this car scores2 out of 10, dont know about the performance as i have not driven it yet. By looks it shows that Mahindra is not yet used to design cars

Logon will be an excellent tourer when it comes to space. It will surely buy most of the taxi drivers.

apparently TimesDrive disagrees with the title of this thread and the conclusion we here at TeamBhp have reached.

For one, the article headline says "Impressive Sales Figures for Logan".
3000 bookings in 3 weeks in the 11 cities the car has been launched, i.e 40% of the market.
25000 inquiries. around 1200 inquiries each day.
11000 test drives given of which 3000 were converted to bookings, i.e. 30% conversion rate.
Plant capacity to be increased to 50000 cars per annum by July.

hmmm...interesting.

looks like they are just trying to create artificial hype in the hope that people will go ahead and buy the cars based on other's opinions (a classic marketing ploy to play on the indian mentality of buying on reputation). anyone who knows (and loves) their cars would NOT go in for one! there are several better options even at that price, and one must not overlook the fact that the indian second hand car market is growing every day too. looks like its gonna be another peugot 309 story...

if true , just reinforces the point that Team BHP is a forum of enthusiasts , whose likes and dislikes have little to do with the actual sales numbers / acceptability of any product..looks like the "aam aaddi" car buyer in India has a set of different set of standards to benchmark the car he/she wants to buy

what the hell is that car? and who is it targeted for !! i would seriously like to know what they were thinking when they were making that car?? i mean what do they think this is going to sell like hot cakes just because its another foreign brand!!! i think they should take a reality check and study the indian market before they launch a car!!
i feel sad when i see that car man! its as if theyre treating the indian market as a bunch of fools willing to buy anything and everything that they portray as VFM!!! go take a walk mahindra-renault!!!

Mahindra Renault's Logan sells 2,786 units in May-Automobiles-Auto-News By Industry-News-The Economic Times

Well here are the numbers. Not sure how the others are stacking up, but keep in mind that production is not fully ramped up and also car is only soft launch in 40% of the nation. One theory is that the car maybe selling on novelty factor but the other is that since its not a looker people are buying it purely for its performance.

I know one of my friend booked a Logan the very first day, without a TD
seems he got so overwhelmed by the ads.
but after taking a TD, guess what, he is a proud owner of SX4 now.
Does that tell you the story now.

Logan is finished for real, and the damage is already done. M&M can fix up the price, but then the initial response which drives any new car, just like SX4 got, M&M missed on that big time and are just clinging on to a losing game.
