They didnt just discontinue it without a reason.... its never actually "sold".
Maruti is dubiously famous for not discontinuing even the most outdated models.... infact they launch discontinued, outdated models as all new cars, perfect example being the new Zen Estilo.

Today saw one black Logan in JC Road which had come for accessories fitment. The people who were working on it finding it difficult to figure out If its petrol or Diesel and If its 1.4 or 1.6.Thats very funny scene. Over all car is nice. If its 20k cheaper and if they had added power windows and few other small goodies for all variants it would have been really great package.

Maruti is very talented in bringing out feature rich looking variants.

Mahindra(Logan lacks must needed features and wrong placements of few switches like PW..), GM(UVA not attractive variants), Toyota (Innova lacks PS, PW, inside mirror adjustment, no foot rest.. with its basic to medium grades) needs to learn from Maruti!

Regards,

Ravi.

i have heard of the underpower issues of the car!!
but man why cant people look more in a car than power??
its a practical car for practical people...
but looks could have been a little better!!
front headlamps look like modified maruti 800 lamps!!
nothing personal for the logan owners...cheers:

Thats a shame. This car (by Mahindra, otherwise Mahindra will feel bad**!) was supposed to redefine the car market in India!

** The no. of times 'by Mahindra' is mentioned on the car and related press is absurd!

Don't know and don't care, these are figures reported to SIAM and are not wrong. I remember a similar debate during verna launch.
"How can verna sell 2200 units a month, I don't see any"

I have seen a total of three on the road, one warm (goldish) silver, one metallic red and one pearly white.

Saw one parked next to a Hyundai Elantra.
The Logan was just as wide, although the Elantra was longer.
A cute little "big" car (as in wide).

Indian cars (Tata and Mahindra) will continue to evolve and bring growth to the country. The Indica/Indigo have come a long way from where they started, haven't they? And so has the Scorpio.
OT: Interested to know which cars have CAN-bus and are therefore electronically scaleable in features, a long way. I know that the Maruti Swift does, but which others?

Not seen any in Bangalore so far. Maybe my eyes are not trained to spot ugly things ! . Except probably the ubiquitous NHC.

I saw in NDTV both Logan and SX4 sold nearly 3000 units in May thats good show, In couple of months we will know about sales for sure

I feel Logan is slow starter the main reason why many people hate it is
the variants offerring is not brilliant one. Base model is too base and top model missing few much needed stuffs.

Fleet operators have a option to the Indigo/Ikon now. I saw 2 yellow board Logan's so far. Plus the dCI is quite a gem!

Logan should bring in some goodies like ps, pw like baleno lxi model which was more vfm model. Otherwise its going to be a failure. Indigo is offering far too good features at a good price tag.
